We can be available if something goes wrong, but we generally leave you to your trip! Emily will be your main point of contact, and lives close by if you need anything.

The North Durham/Duke Homestead area is a peaceful suburban neighborhood where you’ll feel surrounded by nature, yet still be within 10 minutes of Downtown.
Stretch your legs or walk your pups around the corner in Whippoorwill Park, or go out for a special meal at Gocciolina - one of Durham’s finest restaurants.

You'll enjoy full access to the entire home & yard. The driveway has plenty of parking for up to four cars. Pro-tip: back into the driveway for an easier exit!

This beautiful home boasts a variety of incredible gathering spaces, making it the perfect place for your next family or group retreat. The inclusive amenities will ensure you’re comfortable for a longer stay, as well.
Six beds throughout the three generous bedrooms, including fun triple bunk beds, provide plenty of private, comfortable space for everyone to rest. The green bedroom includes a desk for a private workspace.
The full kitchen (stocked with all the basics!) provides room to create a delicious meal to enjoy in the full dining room, or on the back deck dining area. Then pile on the couch for a movie while the kiddos play in the indoor tent. Greet the morning with a cup of coffee in the covered porch as you prepare for the day ahead. Or end your day with s’mores around the fire pit while the kiddos & pups run out some energy around the fenced-in backyard. We can’t wait to host you!

North Durham is the best of both worlds - far enough to be peaceful, but close to all the conveniences! You’ll be an easy bike/drive/Uber/Lyft distance to:

Durham Amtrak, Bus Station and MegaBus pick up are downtown, 4 miles away
I-85, with access to I-40, Hwy 70 & NC 147/885, is just 2.5 miles away
It’s easy to get to Raleigh (25mi), Chapel Hill (14mi), or RTP (13mi) with a car, cab or Lyft/Uber.

As stated in the house rules, there is an automatic minimum $250 service fee for any violations of house rules that require additional cleaning and/or cause damage. We have tried to make it comfortable for you and all future guests, and have been thoughtful in the amenities we provide. We appreciate you for exercising the same level of thought and care when staying here.
We are happy to host families, and provide some child-friendly amenities: Pack-n-play, child-sized plates/utensils, indoor playhouse.
We do ask that guests are relatively quiet after 10 PM, as a courtesy to neighbors. Parties and loud groups are not permitted. Thanks for helping us be good neighbors.
Smoking or vaping of any substances is not permitted on the premises.
Well-behaved pets are welcome, and must be registered with the reservation. There is a pet fee, based on number & length of stay.
Reservations longer than 28 nights may incur additional fees.
