Simple hotel with good staff
You get what you pay for. The best thing about the Sara Executive Hotel is the staff: helpful, professional, and kind. The hotel is basic. Get a room far from the open stairwell, as noise is channeled from the ground floor front desk and restaurant directly up the stairwell to the guest room floors. The whir of my room's ceiling fan masked some corridor noise, thankfully. A door and carpet in the corridors would reduce the noise.
My rudimentary room had no closet, no luggage rack, and there was no toilet paper in the bathroom. Not even a TP holder. Only a spray hose, (admittedly useful). So bring your own TP. Since the spray-blast bathroom is a small open room with toilet, shower and sink inches apart, one's imagination wonders about what work that hose has done in close proximity. I wore my flip flops while I showered, warily eyeing the toilet hose. I'll never view my kitchen sink spray hose the same.
Since I was staying there for work, I was disappointed there was no desk or table in the guest room to open my laptop. So I commandeered a cafe table for work, but mystical chant music played on a loop in the restaurant most days. Did I say it played on a loop?
All this, however, is not unexpected in a hotel in this price range in an industrial corner of India. In the end, I actually enjoyed the whole experience. Just sharing what to expect. The Sara staff were all gracious and responsive, without exception. The restaurant is good with a local cuisine buffet breakfast.
