Bury your feet in the white sand beach just a few steps away or take refuge from the sun under your very own palapa covered terrace. Our guestroom has a private entrance, bathroom & terrace overlooking the most pristine beach. Complete with comfy king size bed, kitchenette, local artisanal soaps and our fave Mex coffee will make your stay unforgettable. Sleep to the sound of the ocean and wake up refreshed. This is the perfect hideaway for a couple or single person. Unwind & relax!
The space
Welcome to our bamboo guest room! This is a new build on an old house. The guest room is located on the bottom floor of the house (closest to the beach). Even though we live upstairs its extremely private and quiet, other than the waves crashing of course. Our goal was/is to create a laid back beach shack to share this amazing spot with travelers. We use the Mexican beach vibe in our decorations, which was really easy given the location ;) We tried to use as much local and beach foraged items as possible. We also incorporated as much Mexican art as we could get our hands on; Oaxacan bedspread, Parota furniture and pots made from barro are a few examples.

We also provide every stay with other goodies; local soap, Mexican coffee beans (with a grinder and pour over setup) and a welcome fruit basket with ripe local fruits so you have some basics.

By the entrance of the room there is a outdoor shower you can rinse off after the beach. Walking into the room you will find the comfy king size bed, night stands, floor fan and bench for sitting or suitcases. Either side of the bed has a upper shelf that you can hang a few clothes, hangers provided. There are four custom made bamboo windows, two facing the ocean and two on the sides. If you go through the other door you will enter the terrace, there you have the kitchenette which consists of a mini fridge, sink, electric kettle, pour over coffee cone, silverware, cups, plates and a few other essentials. Enjoy the table situated directly in front of the window, perfect place for morning coffee or even anytime of the day! From the terrace there is access to the big bathroom and the shower that comes with a view of the ocean. The beach is accessible by steps that almost make it to the sand, the last part is rocky. So the last couple steps you got to be careful (we are no longer liable). What else could you want?

Careyeros is one of the nicest beaches in the area, its difficult to get there if you dont have your own transportation (I can also help you get the best deal on a rental car). Because its secluded the beach has some the clearest water around.

Guest access
You will have access to the room, terrace and bathroom all to yourself. Outside the room there is a shower for rinsing off after a swim and a grassy area complete with hammock. We also have a couple beach chairs, umbrela and boogie boards you can use. We have a small gas grill too if you request it we will leave it out for you. If you need anything else please dont hesitate to ask!
Other things to note
Being so close to the ocean can be a little too intense for some people, with the wave noise and wind. Some months are windy, some months have rain some have lots of sun and humidity. Its good to know what you can handle. Its a bit rustic but very comfortable.

This is not a good option for somebody with mobility issues, there are steps that are uneven and are quite big.

Sorry we do not allow infants or children at this time. If you request to stay with an infant unfortunately your request will be declined.
