Perfect spot for kitesurfers!

Very nice place, the terrasse on top is awesome! Very close to the kitesurf spot! I also really appreciated the e-bikes! The staff is also awesome, always happy and there to help you and make sure your stay is going well.

We had such a wonderful stay here! It’s a great walk to Long Bay Beach. The unit is kind of small, but has everything you need. I like that the bedroom is separate from the kitchen and living room. Part of what I loved about this place is the upstairs third floor patio, with a few chairs where you can look out at the ocean. And watch the sunset.We also were very grateful for the lovely guy who keeps the place up, and a very responsive hostess. Highly recommended!!

Delightful Cottage

What a delightful cottage apartment! Directions to get there with our rental car were easy. We did a lot of cooking and the description of the kitchen was accurate. We especially enjoyed being able to use the outdoor grill! The rooftop patio was very nice, we sat up there and watched the Moon. The property is a three minute walk to the beach, which was absolutely beautiful. And the E bikes were really fun! It’s a perfect spot for two, would highly recommend it.

Fantastic find!

This was our first trip to Turks and Caicos, but I hope it won't be our last! I feel so lucky to have found this great listing on VRBO - everything was exactly as listed and Ann (the host) was super responsive and helpful! The listing recommends renting a car and I didn't listen - this was the only thing I would do differently next time. The apartment is on the South side of the island where it's quieter and less populated with tourists (which we loved), but that means it's not very close to stores/shops/restaurants. And when I say "not close", I mean a pretty significant hike on roads that are not pedestrian-friendly. We had a great taxi driver (recommended by Ann), but we would have been better off with a rental car. The beach that is right down the road from the apartment is absolutely gorgeous - shallow, calm, turquoise water. It was very cool to watch the kite surfers and the horseback riders. If you want to snorkel off a beach, you'll want to head to the North side of the island. Many thanks to Ann and Joseph for making our first visit so memorable :)

Close to Beach

The apartment was immaculate. The bed was comfortable with good quality linens. Petite in size but worked for us for the 3 nights we were there. I would say you need a rental car (we used Scooter Bob), traveled to many beaches including the one within walking distance, shopped at the IGA and ate locally. I will say our best meal was at Mango Reef. I would recommend this apartment.

Perfect for minimalists

We always stay in Leeward, but since we were traveling w/out kids we decided to give Long Bay a shot. Happy we did. LB is quiet and developing quickly- wow! Highly suggest renting a car and exploring the island. The unit was clean. Our biggest complaint was that neither of us slept well the whole week. The mattress was very firm and the pillows were flat, which may be suitable for some but not for us. Overall, it was a good experience.

This property is very well-kept and in close proximity to a nearby beach, which makes it an excellent location. The kitchen and pool are an added bonus, along with the laundry area that is free for all guests.

Convenient little one bedroom

For the money, this place is great and very convenient to Long Bay Beach and Playa dos Cayes. The little kitchen was enough to hook up breakfasts and nice to have the pool for a quick dip and the rooftop for an evening cocktail. Also nice to have access to beach chairs and umbrellas. We had a Jeep and this was a great jump off point for us to start to explore the rest of the island. Most of the tourist stuff is to the central and east side of the island although there are beaches all around. Heading right across the highway to Grace Bay area there are tons of restaurants and that sort of thing. Anyway if you're not looking for anything too fancy and just need a good comfortable clean place to clean up and rest up before heading back out to this beautiful island this place is perfect.

Great place to stay!

This was a wonderful place to stay! The unit is modern and clean with great amenities like a pool, washer/dryer, etc. It’s very close to long bay beach. Ann was a great host and was quick to respond if we had any questions.

Home away from home

We stayed for 16 nights at Sunseasand. My plan was to learn how to kitefoil. I did really like it. Very convenient. 5 minutes walk to the beach. The cart they have was very handy. Easy launch area. Shallow water and wonderful weather. The apartment was clean and cozy. We liked the outside bbq (saved us a lot on dinning out), the pool and especially the rooftop seating area were great. Did use the kayaks and ebikes twice when it wasn't windy. The property manager was very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this place. Already did that to a friend who is coming in Feb 2024. If I do come back to TCI, I will definitely stay in here.

Lovely Spot

This was my first stay at this property and it won’t be my last! The location was perfect. I love this area of the island. The only complaint I have is I had to leave. :) Definitely rent a car for ease of getting around. Easy walk to the beach. In a previous review someone commented stray dogs took their shoes and I’m not sure how this would be possible. The property is gated and while dogs run around that area I never saw them inside the property line. The property feels new. My unit was in great condition, perfect for me, and everything worked well. Hoc was very easy to work with. I am looking forward to my next stay. Thanks Hoc and Peter!

Long Bay at Sun Sea Sand

Beautiful property! Very clean and updated. Beach was very close but disappointing with excessive amounts of seaweed. Had to taxi into Grace Bay to enjoy clean turauoise beaches. Stray dogs also took our shoes left outside the door, as property signs say leave shoes outside. Advise to remove shoes but bring inside!

Beautiful Villa

Our first time in TCI. We chose this location because pricing was within budget for our quick weekend getaway. Honestly, I can say that this villa was exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated and well maintained. The host, Hoc was responsive to my many emails and I appreciated that. The property manager, Peter was friendly and went above & beyond to meet with us upon arrival. I will say that a rental car is useful when staying at this locatIon as it is approximately 10-15 minutes away from the nearest attractions/restaurants. We will definitely return and consider staying here again.

A true gem for those who are adventurous gem hunters

I am a novice kiteboarder and was interested in a place that was reasonably priced, walking distance to the beach and had all the amenities to relax after a long day on the water. I could have stayed directly on the beach but like dialing things down a notch at times and couldn't have found a better place with a property owner who really cares. I also have a VRBO property and felt that Hoc (the owner), is truly interested that you get settled and get the most from your stay, whether it is for a few days or months. The beach is 375 steps for an average height person. I didn't leave my gear on the beach except the boards and didn't feel the slight bit concerned about security. It is just not that type of area. I wouldn't leave a rolex attached to the handle or anything but the kiteboards were fine there. There are electric bikes to use but I didn't really need one as I was only interested in my time between the kiting and replenishing. It's in the more remote part of the island where there are more homes/villas vs. commercial hotels, which are located on the other side of the island by Grace Bay. Long Bay is wind sport paradise. The units are new and there is a beautiful pool and upper balcony for gathering. I met a few people that were neighbors from back home, as well chatted with people walking by. Not a lot of people (just fine) but the ones I did encounter where super nice. The property, as are many, if not all, in Long Bay area seem relatively new and are all top quality. More contemporary style architecture and built to withstand hurricane forces. Kiting.... a dream. As a lone traveling novice kiteboarder, I had the folks at the property to commune with but I used Robert from KiteboardTCI to supervise me, which is operated at the closest resort style property (H20). Robert worked with me as needed and worked out supervisory rates where he keeps an eye on you and your kite if needed. Just nice to have when alone Thing I love about this property is that is for people who like to do for themselves and yet you are well supported by Hoc and his property manager (Peter) and others around. A direct flight from Chicago to TC.... my dreams have been realized. H2O and Shoreclub are still places you can get a drink if you like. This place is for those who are independent travelers. I had Jana (talk to Robert) come in two nights for massage. Paddle boards and other toys are available. Water goes out for a mile + chest to neck deep.
