Great end unit with partial ocean view, we loved being on the end. Great breeze from the patio to the bedroom. The unit itself is really large, 2 very nice bathrooms, kitchen was adequate. Gas BBQ's right outside. We were there in early October and it was pretty warm. There is no A/C, and we didn't need it, although if you stayed in a warmer month, I could see it being too hot without it. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. The mattress has seen a few better days, we did let the property management know and I feel confident they will replace it. We most definitely would stay there again (as long as the mattress was replace) and look forward to returning again.

Nice but dated; a lttle rough and worn, but overall a clean, affordable homebase on the North Shore.

Priced accuratley for what it was. Property was well stocked with kitchen tools, books, and beach things (towels, beach chair, fins, and umbrella). Wifi and cable TV were nice for our evenings. Nice patio to have coffee on in the mornings. Unit is close to Pool so a little loud in the evenings with the slider open but not bad. No vent fan in the bathrooms and no a/c where the things that were less than ideal. Communications where timely and accurate.

Beautiful resort

While we were initially disappointed that the condo didn’t have AC, we quickly learned that it is perfectly positioned to catch every breeze. The condo is beautiful, with views of the amazing pool from the bedroom lanai, and of the ocean from the living room lanai. The resort was welcoming and has all kinds of activities. We were not aware of the parking fee due to resort, but it was so, so worth it.

Older buildings but great find for families and seniors

In mention families but many adults were there, especially seniors from the US and Canada. From December through March, you can see the humpback whales from many of the units or sit on a chair and view them on the north end of the property. There's tennis and pickleball courts, a fitness center, Monday mai tai party, yoga class (fee). The pool is several parts. There's a beautiful family section with pool, hot tub (lower temp for kids) and a waterspout for little ones to enjoy. Then there's the adult pool and adult hot tub. Since non the winter it's rainy and can be chilly, it's popular.There is a fee for daily parking. On the other hand, the walls are paper thin so you will hears in each building. The appliances are dated but work. The floor plan in our unit was very conducive for the sofa sleeper person who didn't have to close up the bed every morning. We easily walked around that area. Groceries are nearby as well as restaurants and a good fish market just 10 min. away in Hanalei. Many farmers markets, almost on a daily basis ( leasing office has a calendar). Expect this area to be very quiet and relaxing. Hiking for all levels abounds.

The Cliffs Suite 5201

We had a wonderful stay for our honeymoon! The apartment was absolutely stunning and had everything we needed (big comfy bed, lots of storage, snorkel gear, beach towels, chairs and umbrella, tennis rackets). Both ends of the suite had a lanai, each with a stunning view, either of the ocean and grounds or a gorgeous peekaboo view of the beautiful pool area and surrounding jungle. The amenities area was very beautiful with many different areas to explore (warm pool, colder pool, hot tubs, lots of seating, gym, common area). We will return!

Lovely Place

Terrific, comfortable, beautiful, peaceful location. Well-equipped (though kitchen was not equipped with things like salt & pepper, cooking oil). It was really comfortable and hassle-free. The only thing I would say is I recall somewhere in the posting literature it listed a 6-minute walk to the beach. Really more accurate to say a 6-minute walk to the shoreline as beach access is not to be found near this property and required a drive or bicycle (available for free at the property).

Beautiful property with a fully equipped kitchen, beach chairs, umbrella, cooler for use, fabulous pool and ocean views from 2 spacious decks. Shopping, restaurants, gorgeous beaches are within a short drive.

Garden Isle Paradise

Spacious 1 bedroom 2 bath was perfect for my wife and our adult daughter. We celebrated her becoming a Doctor. Fabulous sunrise and sunset views. Beautiful, manicured grounds. Close to Princeville Center and Hanalei, yet quiet and secluded. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return!!

Beautiful ocean view from patio

We loved the location, easy to find, and this unit had 2 nice patios, one with a peek through ocean view. The unit needs new living room and patio furniture. Very uncomfortable and on the patio is an old bar style table with stools, too small to sit 4 to eat and quite uncomfortable. The whole 'lock box' instructions was confusing as there was no lock box. This unit had code entry which was handy, although door is heavy. Bed was comfy lots of fans kept it cool enough. We appreciated all the local guide books. Kitchen is well stocked, unfortunately I guess u can't keep staples like oil, spices and condiments due to covid??...makes it hard to cook for a week. We threw out so much. Overall loved our stay!

Perfect stay with great views!

My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the condo! It had everything we needed for a five night stay. We biked to Queen’s Bath, used the pool nearly every night, and we’re only five minutes from Hanalei! Definitely recommend, especially for the price :)

Wonderful accommodations

This unit has one of the better locations in the buildings, with a slight view of the oceans from the kitchen and deck, and on the garden side so you can watch the sunrise. It is much larger than I expected from the pictures, and having two full bathrooms is priceless! It was so nice to both be able to get ready at the same time or shower after a long day at the beach. The bed was very comfortable, having a washer and dryer was so convenient too. We used the hot tubs one night and they are pretty nice as well. The only things which could be improved upon are some more comfortable living room furniture, it’s basically patio furniture as it is, and the shades in the living room were broken so you couldn’t adjust them up or down. And a bigger coffee pot! :) But really those things are very minor since we didn’t spend much of our time in the unit. They gave military discount, which was so kind, most other places I contacted said no. Great location to go for a run, walk to Queen’s Bath, and access the grocery store in Princeville. We saved a lot of $$ by being able to cook in the full kitchen. They have a beach bag, cooler and chairs which came in handy for day trips to Hanalei and other beaches. We will definitely contact them again if we come back to Princeville in the future!

Mildew & mold smell. I DID NOT LOVE IT!

I dreamed of returning to Kauai for years & here it was finally happening. I arrived early evening on Christmas. As soon as I opened the door to the condo I knew I was in trouble. The mold & mildew smell was strong. I opened doors and windows to bring in the fresh air & breeze. Yet sure enough my sleep was restless & I woke the next morning with my lungs hurting. The front desk had nothing to move me to. Ocean Realty who rented me the condo also had nothing. I had to stay in that condo for 5 nights, it was torture. Waking constantly thru out each night coughing & my lungs in pain. At this point I was thinking I would have to leave the island. That day the 29th a friend forwarded me a # for a timeshare on the same property. They were unable to come & I was able to rent it for all but my last two days. I moved the next morning. My lungs mostly stopped hurting and I was able to sleep almost uninterrupted. At this point I was worn out. It was no longer a vacation nor was I able to do most of the events I was planning since my lungs were sore. Ocean Realty returned my $ for the nights I did not stay in the unit. Really they should have given me a full refund plus airfare or made another offer in good faith. My vacation had turned into a recuperation. I wonder how much effort, if any they put into finding me another place to stay outside of their database. Then I had to move yet again for my last two days since the time share I was in had an owner arriving. I do not recommend using Ocean Realty nor staying in this unit. FYI time share units at the Cliffs are well managed for mold and mildew. Privately owned units are not under the same strict regulations. Pity, it cost me my health & a treasured time turned bad. The Cliffs staff were helpful & their activities looked like fun though I missed joining in since my sleepless nights had me sleeping late. An unnecessary disaster.

Delightful condo, good views and amenities

We enjoyed our 8-day stay here very much! The condo has everything you need: beach chairs, towels, cooler, snorkel gear, tennis balls and racquets. We happened to visit during the massive rains and flooding, and we were very thankful we were on the second floor and stayed dry. Because the condo is an end unit, there is a ton of light and it made for great thunderstorm viewing and breezes. I can't imagine we would have enjoyed ourselves as much had we been in an interior unit with less windows and light. Oceanfront provided great communication leading up to and during the stay, including sending us regular updates on things happening in the area. You get an ocean view and also greenery/gardens on the side. We would definitely stay here again. A couple of things to note: This condo is right by the pool and hot tub and also the grills, which means that it gets pretty noisy in the evenings. Every night there were groups enjoying themselves in the hot tub, and it got pretty loud. Thankfully the property staff are great about shutting things down at the 10pm curfew. Another thing are the telephones in the unit. They rang at all hours of the day and night, including at 3am! After 3 days we'd had enough and we unplugged the phones. Finally, it would have been good to know that the condo is stocked with beach towels, cooler, etc. in advance of our stay. We checked all over the listing to try and find that information and couldn't. We ended up packing some of it ourselves and we could have saved ourselves the hassle had we known. Those of you reading this review now know!

We Loved it!!

We really enjoyed our stay. Felt it had all the amenities and comforts of home. Nice to have a kitchen to cook in with a bonus of a great view of the ocean. The deck was our dining room on non-rainy days of which we had a few. Appreciated the boogie boards and the laundry in the unit. Bed was very comfortable. The guide books and information of the island were greatly appreciated.
