When you book Tex 214, you automatically have full membership privileges during your stay to all Tanglewood Resort facilities, which include 3 sparkling newly renovated outdoor pools and a hot tub (with seasonal poolside service of your favorite snack or beverage); a 25 yd 3 lane indoor lap pool, an indoor wading pool and another hot tub, the use of 8 new pickleball courts, (free use of pickleball racquets and balls are provide in the guest room closet in the condo or at Tanglewood reception), the free use of e-bicycles and rental of golf carts, (subject to availability – Tex 214 cannot be held responsible for the reliability of these rental items), to explore the vast Tanglewood property, plus a fitness facility.

There is also an additional 40 foot front patio with beautiful wood, seasonal lake and stunning sunset views, which includes multiple cozy seating areas, (including 2 rocking swivel chairs, 2 additional easy chairs, 2 coffee tables), plus a bar height seating table with 6 barstools and an electric BBQ grill for alfresco dining for memorable outside gatherings. This is where luxury meets nature!

The outside front patio also boasts a super convenient pneumatic pass-through window and bar to enhance the seamless indoor/outdoor experience. This bar offers 2 bars stools inside and two barstools outside, this is perfect for fun inside/outside brunch, snacks, or to watch the game from the outside or also ideal for more sophisticated intimate meals and after dinner drinks.

This is one of the closest condo to lake walks on Lake Texoma, (the largest lake in Texas by surface area), with its famous Striper Bass fishing, boat rentals, guided fishing trips, water taxis, cruises, kayaking and wildlife.

This elegant condo on the second floor, (with convenient elevator access), has the best of both worlds. It is conveniently situated within easy walking distance to the lively Tanglewood Resort (with the Lakeside Restaurant and Bar, Tanglewood Bar & Grill and The Whiskey Tower with spectacular lake and 360 degree sunset views), are all only a 3 minute walk away, (plus the famous newly remodeled Choctaw Casino with its 25+ restaurants, bars and eateries, to satisfy all tastes plus live entertainment is only a 30 minute drive away. Also accessible via Uber/Lyft and Texoma Rides, all subject to availability). And yet the condo also has the quiet serenity of being surrounded by trees, wildlife and a calming proximity to the lake and it’s 18 marinas, the closest being Highport Marina, (within walking distance, which also offers boat rentals), and beaches, the closest being Island View Park, (8 minutes away).

The Tanglewood condos are known for their spacious floorplan. The bedrooms are strategically placed at the opposite ends of the condo for maximum privacy. This ingenius and practical floorplan is arranged by combining the previous Master Villa and Double Villa properties.

The oversized master bedroom has a California King sized bed with a swivel chaise lounge, (perfect for curling up with a book or a drink while listening to the rustle of leaves and birds), four large windows, (with custom black out draperies), overlooking woodland. There is a door from the master bedroom to a private balcony. The large ensuite bathroom off the master bedroom has a spacious walk in double shower, (both with additional detachable shower heads), a sink and laundry room access to a separate washer and dryer.

The guest bedroom offers two plush double beds (which sleeps 2 to 4), two large windows, (also with custom black out draperies), and an en-suite bathroom with walk in shower with additional detachable shower head.

Both bedrooms and the living room have large flat screen Smart TV's. All three TV's have access to Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc. to their subscribers. A subscription to Hulu Live (which also includes Disney and ESPN+), is provided free of charge for your entertainment pleasure.

The state of the art gorgeous kitchen with quartz countertops is a chef’s dream and is fully equipped with high end appliances, including refrigerator with freezer and a built in ice maker and cold water dispenser in the door, cooktop, built in microwave, dishwasher with disposal, Keurig coffee machine and filter coffee maker (coffee not included), additional hand held and small appliances. There is also a separate stand alone ice maker in the kitchen.

The oversized welcoming living room includes a 3 cushion couch, a loveseat and a large, plush double seat chair with ottoman, plus the added sophistication of a bar with a wine fridge.

Off the communal living area is an additional full bath with a claw-foot tub, with antique Victorian fittings and a romantic crystal chandelier, with dimmer setting for all lights!

Additional amenities include: a high end water purifier/softener system feeding all condo faucets, ice makers and showers, etc., free high speed wifi, iron and board, 2 hairdryers, washer/dryer, linens, towels, dishes and cooking utensils.

We provide the following items and start-up supplies: 2 dish towels, new dish cloth/sponge, fully equipped kitchen (accommodates the total occupancy number), kitchen towels, one roll of paper towels, small container of dish soap, 2 tablet supply of dishwasher detergent, trash liners (two per can), and 2 supply of laundry detergent pods.

Also provided throughout the condo are cooling microfiber bed linens, bath towel sets, with a minimum 2 per person, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, soap, shampoo and conditioner in each bath, plus a first aid kit is in master bath below the sink.

The Tanglewood condos are a low density property with only 48 units, which means you can relax by the pool without massive crowds and no long waits for an elevator.

In addition to the 3 restaurants and bars at the Tanglewood Resort and the 25+ eateries at Choctaw, there are many great local restaurants, Schooners for breakfast/brunch and The Island both at Highport Marina are open in season (within walking distance), The Point (one of the best lake views on Lake Texoma), West 84 (fine dining and weekend brunch with water view), Franks (local breakfast spot), Napolis (popular Italian restaurant), and slightly farther afield, North Rig (American cuisine in Pottsboro), plus 34 ChopHouse and Stafford House Provisions, (both fine dining steakhouses in Denison), to name but a few.

Door Dash and Grub Hub are readily available. Plus, the local Brookshires store also offers on-line shopping and pick up so that you can swing by and collect your groceries and grilling supplies without spending your vacation in a store or having the wrong items delivered by a personal shopper.

Main area attractions include lake cruises, horseback riding at Rockin A Ranch, charter fishing, water sports including kayaks, jet skis and sailing. There is also the 18 hole Tanglewood Resort golf club, designed by Arnold Palmer, which is open to the public, the award winning Ironroot Republic Distillery in Denison, plus the Tranquility Spa in Pottsboro, which offers a wide range of facials, hot stone and couples massages.

The Hagerman Natural Wildlife Reserve, (the largest in N. Texas with over 11,000 acres to explore), is open 7 days a week, (including the new Visitors Center), and it is only a 15 minute drive away. The reserve offers a variety of hiking trails, ranked easy to moderate, with additional guided tram rides and self-drive auto tours also available. Eisenhower State Park, is even closer and also offers a variety of hiking, fishing, camping and boating activities, with a small sandy beach for a small admission fee.
