Upon checking in, I was assigned a room that fell significantly below acceptable standards of cleanliness and maintenance. Upon entering, I immediately noticed several dirty linens stored haphazardly beneath the sink, which gave the impression that the room had not been properly serviced prior to my arrival. The air carried a strong odor resembling fresh cigarette smoke, suggesting that someone had recently smoked inside the room despite any non-smoking policies that may be in place.
Furthermore, the overall condition of the room and hotel appeared noticeably old and outdated, with visible signs of wear that detracted from the overall guest experience. Most concerning was the state of the bathroom: the toilet had clearly not been cleaned, indicating a serious lapse in housekeeping procedures.
These issues collectively created an uncomfortable and unsatisfactory environment, far below the expectations for a properly maintained accommodation.
