The Great Tide is a hand-restored 1940s beach cottage one block from downtown Port St. Joe — screened porch, fenced backyard, golf cart, and no pet fee. Park the car on arrival and forget it: the cart gets you to dinner, coffee, the marina, and the bay in minutes. Couples, small families, and dogs settle right in. Mornings are slow, afternoons are screened-porch naps and strolls downtown. No need to break the bank on a weekend getaway, but you will feel like you hit the lottery on this one.

The property is set up for contactless entry. We will not be at the property in person and communication through the app is preferred.


Our neighborhood is full of other charming beach cottages and offers a quaint and quiet atmosphere. The home is centrally located in the heart of Port St. Joe, within walking distance of shopping and restaurants. You will be close to lots of outdoor activities, food, and entertainment options, including walking trails, live music, dining, shopping, the Sea Turtle Museum, the historical Lighthouse, and St. Joe Bay.


Guests will have access to the whole home, the fenced-in yard, and the carport. There is also boat parking available for guests to use. We have more than 1 unit on the property therefore you may interact with other guests. Other homes are located on the other side of your privacy wooden fence. We have a outdoor fire pit on the back side of the property for all guests to enjoy.


This beautifully renovated 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom historic home has been thoughtfully remodeled and updated, ensuring a fresh and modern ambiance that preserves the home's timeless appeal. Feel like you are right on the coast with the rustic, coastal aesthetic throughout the stay.

There are 2 bedrooms featuring a queen bed and a king bed, plenty of clothing storage, and a 3rd bedroom, with a sofa-sleeper couch, that can also serve as a private office space with a desk and desk chair. You will find 1 full bathroom that has been stocked with amenities and linens for your convenience.

You can easily prepare meals in the fully equipped kitchen, with a complimentary coffee and tea selection. Enjoy your dishes in the breakfast nook or in the cozy dining area. This space makes for a great game table or place to socialize while enjoying your meals. The open-concept space also extends into the living room with the smart TV - great for lounging after a long day!

Step onto the screened porch, where you can savor lazy afternoons with a gentle breeze and warm sea air. The Great Tide boasts a fenced-in yard, making it an ideal retreat for four-legged guests. We’ve also included different games for you to challenge your friends and family at!


There is free parking onsite. Walking or driving are the best ways to get around. As we are centrally located, guests can easily walk to many of the restaurants and stores downtown. Please note that currently Uber and Lyft are not available in our area.

This home comes with a complimentary golf cart for downtown use. A signed waiver is required before allowing usage.

Renovated with the bones kept intact — original hardwoods, wainscoting, a breakfast nook that catches the east light. Three true bedrooms: a queen, a king, and a third with a sofa sleeper that doubles as a dedicated workspace with desk, chair, and strong wifi. One full bathroom, fully restocked between stays (hair dryer, shower gel, fresh linens, extra pillows and blankets).

The kitchen is set up for actual cooking — full-size GE electric stove, oven, toaster, microwave, blender, baking sheet, dishes and silverware for six. Drip coffee AND a French press because we have opinions. Wine glasses, coffee, tea, and the cooking basics are included. Crock pot as well.

The open-concept living room flows into the dining area — this is where your group gathers for board games, coffee-and-sunrise, and the 55" Roku TV in the evenings. Step onto the screened front porch for the view everyone writes about in their reviews, or slide into the fully fenced backyard where the dogs roam while you fire up the grill. Your private laundry room is located just outside of the breakfast nook with complimentary supplies so no need to pack heavy.

Every detail has been set up so you can truly disconnect — the car stays parked, the WiFi stays fast enough to work if you have to, and the porch rockers stay available.

- Downtown is walkable and you will find shops, restaurants, live music, and more!
- St. Joe Bay is 2 mins away.
- St. Joe Beach is 7 mins away.
- Mexico Beach and Cape San Blas are less than 15 mins away.
- St. Joseph Peninsula State Park for access to the beach and the bay. It offers natural hiking trails, miles of untouched beaches, and access to launch kayaks or paddle boards.
- Salinas Park is a 15 mins drive away, where you can have the amazing experience of horseback riding on the beach
- If you are interested in wildlife and natural beauty, plan a trip over to St. Vincent Island by ferry boat for the day. Hike around the island and explore our native wildlife and foliage.
- About 30 miles away is the historical fishing community of Apalachicola. It's perfect for a day trip to do a little shopping, stroll along the Apalachicola River, or grab some of the best seafood around! You won't be disappointed!

Perfect Place for Family with Furbaby

Wonderful yard with blooming bushes greeted us when we escaped a nasty northern winter. Plenty of romping room for our furbaby and also room for the adults to stay! Close to downtown and the beach or docks. Lovely place to return to!

Charming older home - nicely renovated

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is close to restaurants and shopping. Easy drive to multiple beaches. I gave location a "4" because there was constant construction going on next door and people walking through the gate by the back door. I'm sure it will be completed soon enough. I would definately stay here again. The owner put a lot of thought into making guests feel welcome.

Trip to Port St Joe’s

We loved our time in Port St Joe’s , Reanna is very responsive and a great host! The property was cozy, the screened porch was so tranquil, lots of nice places to visit within walking distance. No traffic, small town with close 10 minute drive to Mexico Beach, white sands, clear water and clean beaches. Local shops to buy nice things, if you like to shop and are ready to spend some money. Many places to go swim, boat, or fish. Many places to eat or buy local from grocery store and grill or cook at property. Nice car parking in shaded car port. Sofa bed best for young teen. Beds comfortable and sheets and towels provided. Nice basket for pet parents, very dog friendly place to stay, with local walking or biking path, just a block away. Beautiful sunsets within walking distance. We enjoyed our stay!

Love the Great Tide!

We enjoyed our week stay very much. It was great to find an "old Florida home" so well maintained and updated with all the amenities. Our dog really enjoyed the fenced yard. Port St. Joe is a fun town with great restaurants.
