Inside the Home
The kitchen includes a Keurig K-Duo with K-cups, creamer, and sugar provided, along with full cookware and dishes. There is no dishwasher. A cozy built-in bench-seat dining nook sits just off the kitchen. The living room has a Roku Smart TV. Central air conditioning and heat keep the home comfortable year-round, and a separate laundry area with washer and dryer is available for guest use. Both bedrooms have closets.
Outdoor Space
A small covered front porch with rocking chairs sits at the entrance, a quiet spot for morning coffee. The backyard has a gas grill, an outdoor dining area, and a fire pit with seating (firewood is not provided). Beach chairs, a beach wagon, and beach towels are stored in the garage and provided for guest use. The garage itself is used for owner storage, including a locked owner's closet, and is not available for guest vehicle parking. The driveway fits 2 to 3 vehicles, or one vehicle plus a boat and trailer.
Location
The Cedar Retreat is a 2 to 3 minute walk from the neighborhood park at the end of the street, and Lakeview Park Beach is an easy 5 to 10 minute walk away. Downtown Port Clinton shops and dining are about a 5 minute drive, as is the Jet Express ferry to Put-in-Bay and the Lake Erie Islands. Gideon Owen Winery is about 12 to 15 minutes away, Twin Oast Brewing about 15 to 18 minutes, and Cedar Point Amusement Park is about 25 to 30 minutes away in Sandusky.
Things to Know
The home is within audible range of nearby train tracks; passing trains may be heard outside, particularly at night. A Google Nest camera is mounted on the garage, facing the driveway only, no interior or entry views are captured. A Pack 'n Play is available (no sheets provided) along with a kids' high chair. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are provided in both bathrooms. Toiletries, paper towels, and trash bags are well-stocked, not just a starter amount. There is no dishwasher on-site. A personal vehicle is recommended for exploring beyond the park and beach.
House rules: no pets, no parties or events, no smoking. Quiet hours 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. A $300 refundable security deposit applies to this booking.
