I am writing to share my feedback regarding my recent stay. Unfortunately, the house was not properly cleaned upon our arrival. The air conditioning was turned off, and because of the heat, it took a very long time to reach a comfortable temperature.More concerningly, we encountered cockroaches and mice during our stay. Additionally, the beds had pet hair on the linens, and some pillows had a strong, unpleasant odor of sweat. I hope these hygiene and maintenance issues are addressed promptly for future guests.

This property is in a great location, super close to the beach, beautiful home, well equipped, and the host was great! I think we found our new summer getaway place! We will definitely stay here again! 😊

Location was great!

The location of this home was everything we wanted. It is just steps to sand. The home was set up for families. Upon arriving the house was not clean. We contacted the host and he immediately sent the cleaners back. The cleaners were incredibly rude to us and we ended up telling them to leave. The host was apologetic and responsive but we ended up staying in a dirty house. The counters were not clean, toilets still had urine around them and feces in them. The floor was full of hair, human and dog hair, and sand. The bunk bed did not have sheets on it. By the last day we could smell dog urine but were so over it we ended up leaving because tropical storm Alberto was approaching anyways. The house did not have a Keurig as stated and we only brought pods. The hockey table was missing the pucks so we were unable to use that. Overall the host was responsive, the location was great, and the house was a good size for our 13 guests.

While the house was picked up it wasn’t clean, most of the house had dust, we had to wipe down counters, wash dishes, and sweep. For the cleaning fee they charge it definitely was not expected. Another thing also was the restroom locks for the pull out doors were not working. However they supply everything you need, pots, cooking utensils, towels, blankets, and games. We were a total of 9 adults, 3 teenagers, 2 kids, and 1 infant we all had a place to sleep.

Family time at the beach

We had a good time spending time together. The house had a few issues, and the property owner was very communicative. This house isn't 100 ft from the beach or on the front row, as the description shows. It's on the 2nd row. We had 17 people (all family) come to enjoy some beach time. One of the pull-out couches was broken and couldn't be used, so one guest had to sleep on a twin-size blow-up mattress we brought. There weren't any cleaning supplies, so wiping the counter after meals couldn't happen with anything other than water. There was a broom and no dustpan. The property owner said they wanted the experience to be a true vacation and to not worry about the mess "to leave it in the best condition we could." With 17 people, it would have been nice to be able to wipe things down. The remote in the living room was broken, and with the great big windows, it was a little difficult to cool the upstairs (to our liking) at night.

Great Family Vacation

Our family of 15 could not have asked for a better vacation, the entire family felt very relaxed. The home had everything we could have needed, the loft is a plus if you have kids. Pack your clothes, toiletries, and food (seasonings also) and you cant go wrong with this home. The check in and checkout process was very easy, other than it would be nice if the checkout was a bit later. We will be staying here again and maybe even renting one of the homes next door!!

My family and I really enjoyed out stay here. They had everything you can think of as far as utensils and the place was well furnished with beautiful views. Would definitely recommend and we may come back another time or to 1 of this host many other great properties around the world!

Family Trip

This was a family vacation ,there were 20 of us. everyone enjoyed their stay. we had lots of room, The loft upstairs was excellent and that it had its own bathroom. So close to the beach with great Access. Plenty of parking. Would stay again. To improve this property, inclose the patio area Underneath with screen so it could be used at night without the bother of mosquitoes.

Really, Really Nice Home

Me and a bunch of friends went on a 4 day getaway and this home was awesome! Great location, could see and feel the beach from front deck! Beds were very comfortable and they had everything we needed to make big meals(Just needed a wine cork screw)! We definitely want to rent this Beautiful home again next year! Owner responded to every message in a timely manner and was so very helpful! Thank You so much for letting us borrow your home!

Great house and location

We had 10 adults and 6 children stay here for a week. The house is one row back from the beach with a walkway right in front of the house that takes you to the beach. The house was clean and well furnished. The deck was great with plenty of furniture for everyone to have a seat. The little ones loved the small playground in the fenced yard. The location is great out of the tourist area of Galveston. There were mostly families in the small neighborhood and it was nice and quiet. My only complaint was there were not many pots and pans and the teflon coating was coming off of the one skillet. The stove had a crack across the cook top but they had ordered one and it was on back order. The bunk room really needs a fan. It is warmer in there than the other part of the house. We had a great vacation and enjoyed our stay. I would definitely recommend the house.
