Stingray Cottage is designed for up to four guests, offering space, comfort, and the same tranquil setting that makes Searenity so unique. Wake up in nature

Wake up to the sounds of birds and daily visits from hummingbirds at the feeders on your balcony. From your bed, it feels as though you are hugged by the trees, with views stretching across Nonsuch Falls, Blue Mountain Peak, and the Portland coastline. Morning light filters through the forest, framing the mountains, waterfall, and ocean in a way that feels both private and magical.

Interior and layout

Stingray Cottage measures about 625 square feet (58 m²) and is arranged in a loft-style layout. The main level includes a plush king-sized bed (convertible into two twins if preferred), a private bathroom, and a balcony kitchenette. A sturdy ladder leads to the upper loft, where you’ll find two additional twin beds.

This setup makes Stingray flexible — perfect for a couple wanting extra space, two friends, or up to four adults traveling together. The loft design also gives the cottage a light, open feeling while keeping sleeping areas separate.

Kitchenette and balcony

The balcony kitchenette is equipped with a 2-burner hotplate, microwave, electric kettle, mini-fridge, pots, pans, and all the essentials for preparing simple meals. Guests often enjoy breakfast or sunset drinks outside, with hummingbirds at the feeders and views in every direction. The balcony also has a hammock and seating, making it the heart of the cottage for many visitors.

Relax and recharge

You’ll find plenty of ways to unwind at Stingray. Rest in the hammock, watch the light shift across the mountains, or spend the afternoon at the 25-meter lap pool. For those who like to stay active, the open-air Jungle Gym offers one of the most scenic workout spaces in Jamaica, overlooking the lush valley and coastline.

The grounds include tropical gardens filled with flowering plants and butterflies, plus a dedicated earthing spot on the lawn where guests can ground themselves barefoot and connect with the earth.

A sanctuary for birds — and for you

Searenity is located in the middle of a bird sanctuary, home to Jamaica’s endemic species. Birdwatchers will be thrilled by the variety, but even casual guests are amazed by the daily presence of hummingbirds, parrots, and other colorful birds. While here, you can also visit the Guango Boutique, where Stef shares her homemade granola, free-range eggs, refreshing kefir water, and handcrafted jewelry from her line LaTige.

Throughout the cottages you’ll also find David’s underwater photography, celebrating Jamaica’s marine world and connecting your stay to the island’s beauty beneath the sea.
