Bienvenue Ă  la grande Ă©vasion! Ce petit bijou en bord de mer peut accueillir 8 personnes et a Ă©tĂ© entiĂšrement rĂ©novĂ© Ă  partir de zĂ©ro! Notre belle maison de plage est Ă  environ 13 km de la rue historique Augustine se trouve sur une plage isolĂ©e qui ne dispose pas de parking public ni d’accĂšs Ă  proximitĂ©, vous Ă©vitant ainsi de vous battre contre la foule. La maison a une suite de belle-mĂšre en bas alors apportez les grands-parents ou la famille Ă©largie ... ou maman et papa s'Ă©loignent tout simplement des adolescents pendant un moment! Avec deux lits king, un lit queen et deux lits jumeaux pour rĂ©pondre aux besoins de votre famille, tout le monde devrait ĂȘtre Ă  l'aise. Il a deux cuisines complĂštes, deux salles de bain complĂštes et une vue magnifique sur l'ocĂ©an Atlantique qui est votre cour!
Il comprend Ă©galement les tĂ©lĂ©viseurs Roku et le wifi! Profitez de votre visite sur le grand balcon comprenant un barbecue Ă  gaz, une table de pique-nique pour les repas devant la plage, des chaises longues inclinables pour vous dĂ©tendre et le hamac idĂ©al pour une sieste au bord de la mer Cette section de la plage offre certains des meilleurs endroits pour la pĂȘche au surf, alors apportez vos cannes et attrapez le dĂźner! The House was not as we expected and description is unacurate. The floors were uneven. The kitchen was very small with old appliance and not fully equipped. Definitely it needs some upgrade. The bedsheets and towels needs to be change. They were dark and old. The mats around the house were dirty. The bathroom also very small and uncomfortably with barely any space to place toiletries. The bedrooms were small with a super tiny unuseful closet. Which was full of garbage and has not a space for your luggage. We found roaches inside the house. The host was attentive and the check in was easy. The view and location of the property were really good but definitely the house needs to be updated. I won’t consider renting this property again.

The beach view is amazing. Private beach so was quiet and peaceful. And steps by the patio, so very easy access. The entire house was clean and all ready for our arrival. The host was awesome and very responsive. We would most definitely stay here again. I highly recommend it!

Absolutely awesome!! Surf fishing was the best. We caught several varieties. Beach was not crowded as there is no public access to this part of the beach. Water was unusually clear for this part of Florida (so the locals tell me). House was great -- clean, stunning view from the living room. Communication with owner was fast and friendly. I hope to get the opportunity to stay here again.

Good property, simple, the beach is the main attraction. Completely separate floors top and bottom, bottom floor surprisingly is a bit warmer with the AC on. Great deck top and bottom. No dishwasher, minimal pans. 90% of time spent outside, so house doesn’t need to check all the boxes. Slept 8 comfortably. Good value for the area

A for the A-frame!

My husband and I enjoyed all aspects of this cozy beach house during our 3-week stay. Great oceanfront location. Enjoyed both the sunny upstairs deck and shady downstairs deck. Very responsive host when we accidentally locked ourselves out after a long walk on the beach :)

Wonderful getaway

Great place to stay, right on the beach! Watched dolphins from deck! Kitchen was well stocked and the bed was very comfortable. Nice being close to St. Augustine. Would definitely stay here again

It was alright

The host is super responsive and a good communicator. The house needs work- pictures look good online, but the place needs some tlc. I was not aware that the master was separate from the rest of the house. Its like two different rentals stacked on top of each other. The ceiling was leaking onto the bed post in the master. On the main floor the flooring around some of the air registers were mushy and sink in when you step on them.

We loved the location and were able to visit St. Augustine and Amelia Island from there. Beautiful uncrowded beach in September. We made the best of the rainy weather. St. Augustine is beautiful! The house had a few issues - the window on the main level was leaking badly and dripped all the way to the jnlaw suite’s door so we used towels to catch the drips. Our friends said they saw a lot of roaches in the inlaw suite, some of which walked on them during the night. The gas stove’s front burner dial came off and we needed assistance from the contractor to turn off the gas and the ignition. Other than that, we had a good time anyway.

Girls getaway

The location of the house is great. They have everything you need for the beach. The house was a little smaller than anticipated, but the room below is a bonus! The kitchen could be stocked a little better. There were 4 adults and only 2 wine glasses. Also we needed a pan to warm up chicken and there was none. They were minor things. I would recommend this house!

Great Escape Vacay

The location sells this house. The beach is rightcout the door, which is exactly what we wanted. And there were no crowds to deal with. Most of the time we nearly had the beach to ourselves. Yes, the house was on the small side, but it worked for us. I would have liked a bit more space in the 1st floor bathroom (particularly the vanity area) but we got by. Enjoyed spending time on the porches and the firepit area when we weren't on the beach. The host, Brian, responded promptly on the couple of occassions we needed something. I would recommend The Great Escape to anyone looking for a low key beach vacation.

Beautiful, Quiet Beach

The house is small, but very livable. The downstairs suite is very nice a large king bed, sitting area, and kitchen. The only thing that would have improved the stay is more counter/pantry space, but it Is simply a space limitation that we worked with. Air worked very well. If you shut the door to the bedroom area, it gets a bit warmer in the bedrooms, but the solution is to open the door separating the living space from the bedrooms. Overall, the house is small but clean and works well. Even though the house sits on A1A, you really don’t hear any traffic from inside the house. The location and proximity to the ocean is amazing! The sound of the waves is constant. We spent many afternoons on the deck downstairs while watching the ocean. The ocean is literally in the back yard. Due to limited public beach access, you feel as if it is a semi-private beach. Would recommend this house and would stay here again without hesitation!

Beautiful Beach!

The house was great for us! Our son and family stayed upstairs with their dogs and my husband and I stayed downstairs. It is a perfect set up so we could all have some privacy. As soon as you open the door the beach is RIGHT there. The beach is very private with just neighbors using it. Sometimes we were the only ones on the beach with no one insight. We enjoyed sitting outside on the rear decks, eating and playing games. The breeze you get off the ocean made it much cooler. We took a nap in the hammock, used some of the beach toys that was provided, and especially enjoyed taking a quick rinse in the outdoor shower. A hose is also provided to give the dogs a bath before taking them back inside. The downstairs has a twin recliner loveseat for watching tv or just reading a book and the bed was comfortable. Upstairs has a larger kitchen and table for eating meals together. (Smaller full kitchen downstairs). Brian quickly responded to any questions we had and we’d love to return in the future. Thank you Brian for letting us enjoy your beach house for the week!!

Great Stay

We had a great time at the house. On check in we couldn't get into the house but the owner communicated with us quickly and resolved the issue. There was five of us (all adults) and my brother had the downstairs all to himself which worked out great since he had his husky with him and our fur babies were not completely introduced to her. They slowly got to know each other and became friends. The view was unbelievable. You are really there for that view. You are just steps away from the beach. We even saw dolphins. We had our fur babies and my brother who is a veteran had his husky with him and they had a great time. The house does seem smaller than the picture but it worked out seamlessly. The only thing needed is just a few more kitchen utensils for cooking and potholders. We ate out most of the time but cooked dinner one of the days. I definitely recommend this home to anyone. Not crowded at all since we went the week before Memorial day. You will have a wonderful time and of course your fur babies.

The house is small but well appointed. Kitchen was very small with very little counter and cabinet space. The location is amazing!! Only steps from the very private beach. We also enjoyed the fire pit area. We had another couple join us for a few days and the downstairs suite was perfect for them.

Oceanfront retreats

Our stay was wonderful. We can’t wait to go back. The house sits right on the ocean. We enjoyed our morning coffee sitting outside on the deck watching the ocean. The is a perfect beach house. The owners were a pleasure to work with. There are many things to do. St Augustine is only a few miles away which has some great restaurants. All in all it was great. I highly recommend it.
