Bethesda Farmstead by Tiny Away is nestled in the peaceful countryside of Placid Hills, just 30 minutes from Toowoomba—also known as the "Garden City." This vibrant regional hub is celebrated for its lush parks, beautiful gardens, and spectacular floral displays, which define the city's charm and appeal.

This retreat is part of a curated collection of unique holiday homes, set in a serene setting surrounded by towering gum trees and overlooking calm waters. Nearby, you’ll find popular attractions such as Table Top for rewarding hikes, Laurel Bank Park for peaceful strolls, and Mount Lofty for breathtaking views.

A cozy 139-square-foot tiny home featuring outdoor space, a fire pit, easy access to water, split-system air conditioning, a kitchenette with cooking equipment, and well-appointed bathroom facilities. These amenities include an eco-friendly cassette toilet with a removable waste-holding tank, hand basin, and shower (gas-heated for hot showers).

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please advise that there will be some animal and farmyard noise during your stay with us. For light sleepers, we recommend bringing earplugs for a well-rested stay.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to our cozy tiny home and surrounding outdoor areas, including the space to visit our chickens and ducks. While exploring, we kindly ask guests to refrain from entering the shed and our main residence.

If guests require any assistance or have questions, they are welcome to contact us directly. We encourage them to enjoy interacting with our animals and feeding them chicken feed responsibly, as they are also regularly fed by us.

- Placid Hills and Gatton are easily reachable by 2WD (Two-Wheel Drive) vehicles.
- Roads in the area are well-maintained and suitable for standard passenger cars.

By public transport:

Getting to Nearest Towns:

- To Toowoomba: While Toowoomba is further away and not directly accessible by public transport from Placid Hills, guests can arrange for a taxi to Gatton and then take a bus operated by Bus Queensland (route 905) from Gatton to Toowoomba.

Taxi Services in the Area:

There are taxi services available in Gatton, which is the nearest town. Guests can easily arrange for taxis to travel between Placid Hills and Gatton for shopping, dining, or exploring the area.

- Breakfast is available at an extra cost. Must be pre-arranged with the host 24 hrs prior to your arrival.
- Gas BBQ Grill is available
- Expect potential farm noise
- No smoking allowed on the property
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed
- Telstra and Optus have good signals the rest have no signal
- Breakfast is offered at an additional cost of $15 per person
- Make sure to turn off the lights, AC, electronics, close windows, and lock doors
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge.

Farm guidelines

- Please expect free-roaming animals and noise during your stay with us
- Always remember to shut the gates before entering and leaving the paddocks
- Please do not enter animal paddocks or yards without the land host's permission
- We also ask guests not to feed farm animals as they are on specific diets for their health

Important note:

- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban
- Due to the property's rural location, you may encounter inconveniences such as insects during your stay
- For stays of 5 nights or more, an additional cleaning fee will be collected to help maintain our cassette toilets and ensure a clean and fresh experience for all guests. We appreciate your understanding.
