Location chalet Pigeon Forge: Thistle Bear est un chalet en cĂšdre avec 3 chambres et 3 salles de bain situĂ© Ă  environ 1 km du centre-ville de Pigeon Forge. Ce magnifique chalet dispose de 2 cheminĂ©es Ă  gaz, 4 tĂ©lĂ©visions couleur avec cĂąble et 2 magnĂ©toscopes, lecteur DVD et Playstation 2. Il y a une cuisine entiĂšrement Ă©quipĂ©e avec un lave-vaisselle, un four micro-ondes et une cafetiĂšre, un lave-linge / sĂšche-linge et une grille de cuisson au charbon. CanapĂ©-lit dans le salon et grand, nouveau sectionnel dans la taniĂšre en bas, aussi. Toutes les 3 chambres ont des lits king size, avec un bain Ă  remous intĂ©rieur dans la salle de bains principale Ă  l'Ă©tage et une dans la chambre du niveau infĂ©rieur !! PLUS un bain Ă  remous extĂ©rieur sur le porche couvert infĂ©rieur ainsi qu’une table de billard et une Playstation 2. Les oursons de chardon peuvent accueillir jusqu'Ă  8 personnes.

Great Family Cabin!

Our only complaint was the “community pool” and lake was about a 20 minute drive from the cabin. The cabin itself was perfect and as advertised.

Everything was perfect except for check in time was to late to enjoy day or be ready for dinner

Nice family vacation

We enjoyed our stay, the cabin was beautiful, clean, spacious, had everything we needed. The only drawback was the back deck with the hot tub, my son in law did not feel it was sturdy enough, therefore, the kids only used it once. The other drawback was the neighborhood, for us, it was not private enough. The houses are very close together. Loved the house and the office people we talked to were fantastic, always ready to answer a question. We would use the company again, maybe just not in that area.

Good location, Fit our large family

The property was as advertised, and shown in the pictures. We have a family of 10, plus 2 boyfriends, with most of us being adult sized. We utilized everything in this cabin, and i can say i was thankful for the variety of things people were able to involve themselves in. We cooked meals, played games, watched movies, etc. We were grateful for the washer and dryer, and ran about 2 loads a day every day, with the size of our crew. I would have liked to play the shuffleboard table more, as it was fun. However, we found that with the cover over it (this was very helpful to have considering the sand) the table made a good "trough" to spread out the laundry in. So it was covered much of the time. The movie area was my personal favorite, to close the curtain and have a little bit of seclusion from the activity was nice. The bedrooms were very nice, and overall, the cabin was very nicely finished and maintained. With that said, i do have a suggestion for the owner, and maybe a heads up to other users. The downstairs room with 6 bunks is good for accomodatting a larger crew, like ours. However, everyone has to go into the one downstairs bath to change...and shower...and use the restroom. This creates quite a bottleneck. With 2 beds and 2 baths upstairs, and 7 beds and 1 bath dowstairs, it doesn't work well. I would recommend a remodel downstairs to add a half bath if possible. This would be immensely helpful. Overall, we loved our stay though. Great cabin!

Convenient Location and Good Value

This is a good house. The interior is clean and great for kids. The game room / theatre in the basement is really cool and our kids loved it. The exterior decks were a bit dirty and in the summer time there is literally zero view of the mountains. Nonetheless, the house is in a great location and a very good value for the money.

Wonderful for a large family.

Our second stay in the Playful Bear was great for the whole family, just like the first. With boys aged 5 to 15, there was plenty of amenities to occupy the whole family. It is also very convenient to the Publix and attractions in Pigeon Forge.

Family atmosphere

Great stay. Very family-friendly cabin with a game room and movie theatre. Very close to Main drag in Pigeon Forge and not a difficult drive up the mountain. Plenty of parking and easy access to the cabin.

Overview

Property was great the only down fall is the stove elements does not hold temp it overheats and burns. Also the teflon the skillets are gone and could not cook anything without the food sticking severely. Other than that the property was amazing.

Smaller Cabin with all necessities

This two bedroom cabin met our needs! Beds for 12 people and some arcade games with shuffleboard in basement for entertainment. As mentioned in ad bring your own TP and trash bags. The location of cabin is among new builds so construction sounds/traffic are present during working hours. You will go up and down steep roads. Carpenter Ants are present during the hotter months. The Fireside Chalets office hours are convenient for maintenance issue to be solved the next day.

Perfect space for a family

The cabin was just the right size for our group of 9. The kids had fun hanging downstairs with the movie room and shuffle board in the game room and enjoyed the bunk beds. It was a short drive to Dollywood everyday. We enjoyed our visit. There is currently a lot of nearby cabin construction going on in the area. It was not a big deal to us, but renters should be aware.

Christmas at the Playful Bear

Wonderful experience from start to finish. The Playful Bear was exactly as advertised and our family had a blast staying there for the Christmas holiday. We especially loved the home theater with movie popcorn maker, stadium seats, sound speakers and more. I can’t say enough about the memories we created and look forward to the next time.

Very nice cabin!

My fiancĂ© and I took this vacation with our best friends and this cabin was VERY nice and decorated beautifully! I loved that the owners decorated for Christmas as well! We did have an issue with the Buck Hunter game in the basement not working, and the living room TV remote not working, so I called the office and they offered to send someone out to fix it immediately. We decided that it wasn’t a huge deal to us, so we opted out of having them come fix it, but I loved how ready to help they were! Everyone that I communicated with through the process all the way up until we left was very polite and professional. As far as the neighborhood goes, it was very well put together and nice, but there was construction for some new builds right by us that started very early, so expect the noise from that. My fiancĂ© works in the construction industry so the noise didn’t bother us, but I do know that not everyone is used to those sounds. This cabin is close enough to Parkway (only about 3 minutes) but also far enough to give you the mountain feel. I would definitely recommend this cabin to friends and family, and we will be keeping it in mind for our next vacation!

Nice but needs some fine tuning

The cabin was nicely decorated and and close to all the attractions in Pigeon Forge. The game room downstairs is a great idea but had a few issues. 1. It was cold even with it bring 65 degrees outside. We had to stay bundled up when we were down there. The one unit for the whole cabin could not keep it comfortable. 2. The projector has a big dark spot it in which ruined the theater experience. 3. The shuffle board table didn’t work well. It needed wax and sand and there was none to be found.

Great, Family Friendly Property

This was a great, clean and fun house. Fireside Chalet was wonderful to work with. The location is up in the mountains a little to feel like you were away from the hustle and bustle, but still very close to all in Pigeon Forge.
