Special Note-

Your adventure to Sunset Trails will begin about a mile before you actually reach the property. We are located on a privately maintained gravel and dirt road that can be a bit narrow and bumpy. Take your time and most vehicles will have no issue. However, i would not recommend bringing your Lambo or Ferrari ;-)

This was an amazing stay! Plenty of space, inside and out for our family. The house was clean. The beds were soft and comfortable. The kitchen and living room connection allowed us to make meals and stay close to those lounging. We really enjoyed the pool table to break from the sun. And, the pool and hot tub were just what we needed for our spring break get away. Kimberly was exceptionally responsive to any questions we had. We had a fantastic time! We would definitely stay here again!

2nd time staying at Sunset Trails

We loved this property so much the first time we stayed that we booked it again and stayed even longer. There is so much to do at the house, you don’t even need to leave the property to have a great time! The location of the house was ideal for us. We love to hike and it is so close to hiking opportunities. Groceries are also nearby and we made lots of meals in the well stocked kitchen. Looking forward to staying a third time!

We recently stayed a week at this wonderful property. The pool, bocce ball, horse shoes, mini golf course & game room was a huge hit! The home has great amenities & we loved how close Tono national forest was for hiking & exploring, just a short walk down the road. Great location for a big group!

We had a family getaway at this property and it was very accommodating for our large group (7 adults and 2 kids). The host was always available and the property was very clean and well appointed. We also loved the golf course. It's a great spot to get away from the noise and enjoy the desert!

Fantastic family vacation

Sunset Trails was the perfect place for our family. We didn’t even need to leave the property with the pool, hot tub, game room, golf, pool/ping pong table, and the infinity game table. The yard was beautiful and we enjoyed sitting by the fire at night. We would 100% recommend this property and would definitely stay again.

Group Getaway

Group of 10 with five kids 4-13. Enjoyed the space to spread out and enough features for everyone’s interests. The pool and game table were the biggest hits with kids. Spent the majority of our time at the property and had enough to do where we didn’t need to leave. **best stocked kitchen of any place we’ve rented !

Wonderful!

This house and property is a gem. It's a little further out from the airport but totally worth the drive. You can get to the desert right down the road for wonderful walks! The house had everything you need for the kitchen and the outdoors has loads of comfortable places to sit, rest, read and talk. The home is lovely as well as comfortable and cozy. So many fun games to play too! We loved our stay and would DEFINITELY stay again!

All kinds of fun!

This home has it all! Private pool and hot tub outings were interspersed with use of the game room, pool table, outdoor chess game, and electronic board game table. Also, the location is great for hikes and mountain bike rides right down the street. Plan ahead and bring groceries with you, or drive 20 minutes to stores and restaurants. Lastly, the owner was an incredibly gracious hostess and took care of all correspondence in a very speedy fashion. Highly recommend!

Remote Feel with Fun Amenities

My extended family of 8 adults and 4 kids loved our stay in this house! The pool felt amazing in the Arizona heat, my husband especially loved the mini golf course, and the trail at the end of the road that goes down to the “ravine” trail was a favorite amongst the adults for early morning runs/walks. Kim (host) and Abby (property manager) are extremely responsive and helpful. This house is a great place for a family getaway - my whole family has a wonderful time! Also it’s accessible for easy day trips: - Sedona is a little over 1.5 hrs away (worth the drive!) - Closer to downtown Phoenix is around 50-55 min I would recommend getting a good grocery shop before coming as it is more remote, but the cooking amenities make it easy to have a great meal! Overall, I would definitely recommend this place!

We’ve stayed in various properties around the country, but this one is easily the best one. Close enough to Phoenix to make it convenient for travelers but far enough away to make it quiet and peaceful. What a great location!!! The views of the mountains, the quiet surroundings, and the darkest of night skies to gaze at constellations. This house is wonderfully laid out and feels more like home than our own! Great beds, big bedrooms, wonderful family room and kitchen with great space and comfortable settings. Outside was equally perfect…large open areas with a great pool and hot tub, amazing mountain view’s, pool table/ping pong, mini golf and numerous fire pits with cozy seating to enjoy cold desert nights with family. We were extremely pleased with the house and its closeness to many nearby adventures we wanted to go on.

Oasis in Desert

Midweek time off in tbis lovely gem in New River. All the accouterments for cooking, bbqing, inthis well appointed kitchen. Comfy beds, quiet neighborhood, and an amazingnyard. Sat poolside for 3 days but if you choose to you could sit on the swinging bench under the tree, play bocce ball or putt putt golf. So many little spots to read or chill out. Patio furniture and seating outside with umbrellas are aplenty. Oh and a chess game in the corner of the yard with oieces that are 2 feet tall.! We brought dogs and there is a massive yard but know the pool has a smaller inner metal fence thast has.mesh mounted on the bottom for extra safety. We didnt use but for the families out there, the inside game room beckons! We had a great stay. Highly recommend!!

A wonderful spring break getaway!

Our group of 10 extended family members (including kids aged 9-infant) loved our stay here! The property was very clean overall and the provisions provided, like linens, crib, toiletries were outstanding. The patio area is full of different seating and fun activities, and the wildlife around the property was really enjoyable. This location is a bit remote, with a trek down a dirt road to reach the home. However, all was quiet and tranquil in the neighborhood so it is worth it. All of the seating areas around the home/property meant that you could spend time with family and also find moments of solitude when desired. Although all did not go perfectly, our hosts were incredibly helpful and responsive to our comments and requests. A beautiful home with thoughtful provisions, we’d definitely stay again!

A beautiful breath of fresh air

Coming to AZ from Illinois as a quick escape from the winter, I was hopeful for warmth and sun. With this property we got so much more. The home itself is beautiful, comfortable and inviting. It is equipped with absolutely everything we could need including cooking supplies, extra towels/linens, and toiletries. The views are spectacular and allow for a relaxing evening in the hot tub while watching the sunset. The property has more than enough activities to cater to everyone and keep folks occupied, and is within one mile of a beautiful walking trail we were able to hike in Tonto National Forest. Kimberly was an amazing host and truly thought of everything! I am leaving feeling revived and hope to return soon.

Bella Vista (beautiful view)

If you are coming to the Phoenix area for some downtime, you cannot get any better than this property. Beautiful view of the mountains, beautiful home, beautiful grounds, so many amenities! The family had a blast with the ping pong table, the putting greens, bag game and the kids in our party loved the game table. So much fun. With a pool and hot tub on-site, there was no reason to leave except to get some groceries! The fully stocked kitchen had everything we needed to make meals including a variety of spices. Highly recommend planning to watch the sunset before dinner -breathtaking, even better with a few clouds!!! Beds are super important to us and Sunset Trails did not disappoint, very comfortable. Kim and Travis are super hosts, responded to every question quickly. Thank you for a great vacation!

From the moment we arrived, we knew our stay would be unforgettable. A soothing fountain greets you as you step through the front door, setting the tone for the beautifully furnished and meticulously adorned home. Every detail has been thoughtfully curated—from the rustic charm of the donkey picture (yes, his eyes really do follow you!) to the modern conveniences of a fully equipped home.The entertainment options are truly exceptional, ranging from a unique gaming coffee table to a full game room featuring arcade classics and even a basketball game.Outside, the landscape is captivating, with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. We spent our days enjoying the miniature golf course, a life-sized chess set, and refreshing dips in the heated pool. As the day turned to evening, we were treated to stunning sunsets, followed by the cozy warmth of the inviting fire pit—a perfect way to unwind.There isn’t a single drawback we can think of, and we cannot wait to return and experience our hosts’ unparalleled hospitality in their extraordinary home.Thank you for a wonderful stay!
