Roaches, Broken Tiles, Terrible Communication
We arrived at 4:20pm on the day of check-in (Saturday). Our host never sent us the door key code so we spent an hour calling and texting him and customer service. Finally, Casey called and apologized because the automated message never sent. We get in the house and find roaches everywhere. The wood and tile floors had water damage and were a major hazard for our young children. Planks were fully diasodged and tile at the bathroom entrance was broken. Casey advised floors were scheduled for repair in the beginning of August and he was aware of the roach issue as well but would send pest control. They came Tuesday morning while we were getting around and set several glue traps and applied poison bait. I messsged him several times and sent the pictures he requested, he confirmed he received them then halted all communication. Today, I reached out for an update on the refund and was given a hateful response about "what refund? You don't get to stay for free!" I sent him a screenshot of his offer to refund and he told me to take it up with VRBO.Worst experience possible. Our luggage stayed on the back porch. We had to wash dishes before using them land again afterwards. I spent an hour each night killing bugs and spraying chemicals before bed.
