The space offers a full-bed bedroom, stocked bath, small kitchen, and cozy living area with TV and fireplace. Enjoy the porch, grill, hot tub, outdoor games, and fire pit. Kayaks are available for rent upon request for nearby water access. A peaceful home base perfect for Clemson weekends, lake days, or a quiet getaway.

THE SPACE
Welcome to The Rustic Rectangle, a cozy retreat stocked with everyday essentials for a comfortable stay. Relax in the living space by the fireplace, enjoy a movie or games, or use the drop-leaf bar for meals or remote work. The couch also converts to an XL twin for extra sleeping space.

The kitchen includes cookware, dishes, coffee maker, toaster oven, and an induction cooktop for simple meals. While there’s no traditional oven, an outdoor grill is available.

The bedroom offers a full-size bed, closet storage, and space for luggage. The bathroom is fully stocked with towels and toiletries so you can pack light.

Outside you can unwind on the porch, gather around the fire area, soak in the hot tub, or request kayak rentals for nearby lake access just a short drive away.

Whether you're visiting Pendleton, Clemson, or Lake Hartwell, this is an easy place to relax and recharge.

OUTDOOR SPACE
Guests have a private patio with seating for four, a propane fire pit, and a grill for outdoor cooking (please brush off food after use). Kayaks may be requested for rent in advance when available; transportation to nearby lake access points is required and use is at your own risk.

Pets live next door and free roam — Whiskers (blonde kitty), Grey (grey kitty), and Kody (a very affectionate dog who may greet you upon arrival).

IMPORTANT POLICIES + GUIDLINES
By confirming a reservation, guests acknowledge and agree to the following:

PRIMARY GUEST REQUIREMENT
The booking guest must be one of the individuals staying. If booking on behalf of someone else, they must have their own VRBO account and be added before check-in.

ARRIVAL + CONTACT
Check-in is 4:00 PM unless arranged otherwise. Children live nearby, so please drive slowly. The door will be unlocked upon arrival and a key is located on the coat hook if needed. Texting is the easiest way to reach the host anytime.

DEPARTURE
Follow checkout instructions in the welcome book. Leave the key where you found it and close the door behind you.
Quiet Hours
9:00 PM – 8:00 AM

GENERAL CARE
Lift — do not drag — furniture. Treat furnishings with care.

PETS
Pets must be added to the reservation ($65 pet fee). Do not use house linens for pets. Guests are responsible for pet damage.

SMOKING
No smoking anywhere on the property (indoors or outdoors). Evidence of smoking or lingering odor results in a $300 remediation fee plus possible blocked-night charges.

SECURITY
Exterior cameras are present outside the home.

SHORT STAY GUIDELINES: (1–14 Nights)
To keep the space comfortable for all guests:
• Please leave all dehumidifiers running during your stay
• Report any water, AC/HEAT, plumbing, appliance, or maintenance concerns promptly so they can be addressed early.
• Weekly waste tank emptying will occur with advance notice before access

EXTENDED STAYS (15–28+ nights)
-Two brief routine property checks may occur with 24-hour notice, if atmosphere proves to need assistance, mid-stay cleaning may be required for listed cleaning rate, including freshly laundered towels and linens.
-Weekly waste tank emptying and Hot tub cleaning service with notice
-Dehumidifier must remain operating
-Report any water, AC/HEAT, plumbing, appliance, or maintenance concerns promptly so they can be addressed early.

RESPONSIBILITY
Guests are responsible for damage caused by misuse, neglect, unauthorized alterations, or failure to follow property care instructions. These procedures help maintain a safe and comfortable environment for all guests.
