Please note: This is a rustic, older farmhouse. A pellet stove heats main living areas and may produce some dust. Individual Mini Splits are available in bedrooms. The house is on well and septic. Please don't flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilet. Well water may come out with a tint or slight smell to it. Let it run for a moment and it should clear up. This can also stain or affect the color of the toilets and hot tub. This is nothing to be concerned about as it is all natural. You can drink the water, but we recommend buying bottled water.

LADY BUGS SEASON: From October through the end of December, there could be live and dead lady bugs in and around the house as they are flocking towards any heat they can find. Unfortunately there is not way to prevent this and it is like this in any property in West Virginia that has a functioning heating system. Having dozens of dead lady bugs in the property DOES NOT mean that the property was not cleaned. *This is an old farm house on farm land, bugs are very common!

NOTE FOR DOG OWNERS: We welcome your furry friends (no cats, please) with an additional pet fee. Low/no-shed breeds strongly preferred. No shedding on bedspread or furniture please! Please keep doggies off the bed and furniture...when they shed it can cause a cleaning hassle :) If excessive dog hair is left behind for our cleaners there will be a $50 fee requested.

This is a charming, older farmhouse with plenty of character and history. While it is clean, comfortable, and well cared for, it is not a new build or luxury property. Guests may notice signs of age such as uneven floors, vintage features, or cosmetic imperfections that are typical of an older home.

If you’re looking for a quiet, private, and spacious retreat with rustic charm, you’ll feel right at home here. If brand-new finishes or hotel-style perfection are a must, this may not be the best fit.
