This beautiful 5-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom oceanfront home is a great family house for a beach vacation! The home features beautiful wood finishing throughout and a cozy decor that adds to the rustic charm.

The Willcox Dotterer house was a lovely location for our trip. The location was fabulous with the ocean only steps away and the creek/salt marsh on the other side of the house. With the area being a single row of house toward the southern tip of the island, the beach was not crowded. Check in/out was extremely easy and the host was very responsive to needs. It was our first trip to Pawleys Island and we all loved it.

The beachfront views--through enormous picture windows on two different floors--are exceptional, there is lots of communal space to hang out (without being on top of each other), the beds are comfortable, and each of the 5 bedrooms adjoins a bathroom (only one of which is shared amongst 2 bedrooms). We had 10 adults and could have slept a few more, comfortably. Highly recommend.

PLENTY OF SPACE TO ROAM...INSIDE AND OUT!

This was a great getaway for the family. Beds were very comfy and we enjoyed the extra space to spread out for differing activities. Very quiet and plenty of outside fun with the beach and fishing creek/dock. Some enjoyed collecting seashell and watching the waves, while others enjoyed a kayak ride. Get groceries before you arrive and there is really no need to ever leave! Thanks for sharing your fabulous home!

The house was large enough to fit 5 couples comfortably. It was clean and well equipped. Having both beachfront and creekfront allowed us to just relax, enjoy the magnificent setting and be together.

The house was quintessential Pawleys Island with beach furnishing, amazing view and fully equipped. The children loved crabbing and fishing off the dock in the inlet. The location is absolutely amazing. The house itself is a very old beach house, which could be acceptable if it was maintained better and if it was cleaned properly. I made the trip with friends and when we arrived, we were appalled to find that the property was not clean. Two of the exterior doors did not function at all. When this was brought to the attention of the property management, they did come and fix that. The bedding was dirty with an appalling amount of hair on it. The property management company did come and change the sheets, but they did not change or wash any of the blankets duvets, etc. We had to wash them all on our own. We had to do a good bit of cleaning just to feel that it was a safe place for our young children to be.There was mildew on the shower curtains and overall it looks like the houses maintenance has been neglected or at least the absolute minimum done for quite some time. Unfortunately, the property management system did not seem to want to communicate. I had a very hard time communicating with them once they knew that there were issues. They did not return voice messages or take my calls. If cleanliness is not an issue to you or beds that are clean, then this could be a lovely stay as the location is superb. But I do want to warn other guests who value a place that is clean and linens free of stains and hair. But For the price I cannot recommend it.

A little piece of heaven!

I have been coming to Pawleys Island since I was in middle school; I’m 54 now! We have stayed in several different houses on the island and have always enjoyed our time. The biggest draw back of this most recent house we stayed is there were too many steps for my aging parents and uncle. We also had more than one electrical socket not working. But overall, we had a blast!
