This bright and welcoming three-bedroom family Lockwood holiday home sits right alongside the Pauanui estuary and offers uninterrupted views and waterfront access all holiday long, all with the stunning backdrop of the Coromandel Ranges.

Delight in the comfy furnishings, pops of red around the house, and the warm wooden panelling, all working together to create an inviting space for you and your family to settle in to.

Enjoy breakfasts in the west-facing enclosed conservatory off the living area, BBQ dinners alfresco under the large yellow sun umbrella, table tennis tournaments, posting your holiday pics using the WiFi, or simply watching a DVD at the end of a fun-filled day.

When it's time to make the most of this stellar location, help yourself to one of three kayaks available and launch out from the bottom of the garden - it's as easy as that. Leave the towels on the grass to get nice and warm when everyone comes in off the water.

Sheppard's Rest is well set up for families, with two bicycles available for use to help you explore Pauanui, or for the kids to use when it's time to grab an ice-cream!

Nearby you'll be able to walk to playgrounds, tennis courts, mini-golf, the local shops, takeaways and bars. Or when it's time to hit the beach, Sheppard's Rest is just a 15-minute walk from Pauanui's ocean beach. Pleasant Point boat ramp is a short three-minute drive, as is the Tairua ferry service.

Please note that the double bunk in bedroom 3 is made of a queen bed at the bottom and a king single bed at the top.

As the deck barrier is below 1 metre high, all guests should take care in this area due to the risk of falls.

As the property has unfenced access to Tairua River, adults should closely supervise young children while outside to ensure they are safe around water.

There two kayaks available to use during your stay. There are life-jackets available to use with the kayaks but we do recommend that guests bring their own well-fitting life-jackets to ensure safety.

The back conservatory is a shelter rather than a waterproof cover. Please be aware that water may still come through.
