L'appartement est situĂ© Ă  trois stations de la Tour Montparnasse oĂč les artistes y ont des cafĂ©s et des galeries rituelles. Il est Ă  environ 20 minutes Ă  pied de chez nous. Juste en face de notre immeuble, il y a une station de mĂ©tro. Trois bus nous amĂšnent directement Ă  la Rive Gauche, au Louvre ou aux Jardins du Luxembourg.
L'appartement répond à toutes les attentes. C'est lumineux, spacieux et rationnel. Nous en profitons pour nous reposer, avoir des amis et aussi pour sa tranquillité, car nous aimons lire et travailler à la maison.

Emplacement idéal

L'appartement est tel que dĂ©crit. L'accueil sur place est efficace et complet. Les notes laissĂ©es par la propriĂ©taire rĂ©pondent bien aux questions usuelles. Le mĂ©tro, les bus sont tout prĂšs et nous amĂšnent aux points d'intĂ©rĂȘt habituels. Le quartier est bien fourni en commerces de proximitĂ©. Bref, un sĂ©jour des plus agrĂ©ables dans ce quartier que je ne connaissais pas. Le contact prĂ©alable avec la propriĂ©taire a Ă©tĂ© trĂšs apprĂ©ciĂ©.

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour, fin octobre: 6 jours dans un appartement douillet et bien équipé, à 2 pas du métro, à proximité de tous commerces et restaurants. Nous avons aussi apprécié l'accueil et la confiance accordée. Nous conseillons bien sûr cet hébergement !

Nous avons passĂ© un bien agrĂ©able sĂ©jour dans cet appartement trĂšs bien situĂ© dans le 15eme a un pas d’une station de MĂ©tro : prĂšs de tout, magasins, Ă©piceries, boulangeries, boucheries. L’appartement est trĂšs clair avec une fenĂȘtre dans chaque piĂšce, et une belle vue sur la rue des Volontaires. La chambre Ă  coucher, donnant sur une cour intĂ©rieure, est calme et nous y avons extrĂȘmement bien dormi. Les propriĂ©taires nous ont trĂšs bien accueilli, nous donnant toutes les instructions nĂ©cessaires et se sont mis Ă  notre disposition en cas nĂ©cessaire.

Overall wonderful eclectic space with a comfy bed. We loved the neighborhood and having the metro so close by. We were able to enjoy so many fabulous pastries and cafes as well as the amazing streets to just walk and enjoy. Walking distance to a grocery store, bakery and metro right on the street made this feel like a small neighborhood in a very big city.Thanks to Anne for great tips and communication.Paris is wonderful

Perfect apartment for the Paris leg of our honeymoon. Apartment feels artsy and sophisticated. There are several great restaurants in less than a 5 minute walk. It's also less than a minute from a Metro station, so you can travel anywhere with ease.

Madame Legaré’s third floor apartment with balcony, on Rue des Volontaires is a one-minute walk to Metro station and to a bus stop that serves 3 bus lines. An artisan boulangerie is around the corner; at 5:00am Monday through Friday, the heavenly aroma of bread enters the apartment. La Poste, Pharmacie, Naturalia, Monoprix, LenĂŽtre, Franprix, fun restaurants, meat, fish, cheese, vegetable, fruit, and wine merchants, clothing stores, specialty stores
an ideal neighborhood. This is the fifteenth apartment in Paris that I’ve rented through VRBO, but, my first time in the vibrant 15 arrondissement. Special thanks to Madame Braik (who represented Madame LegarĂ© during my month-stay); she was kind and thoughtful. Oh, standing on Rue des Volontaires, where you exit the Metro station, you can see La Tour Eiffel! What a treat! I wish everyone excellent health and happiness always.

Home Away from Home

I brought my teenager with me on a work/vacation trip to Paris and Anne's home was perfect for us. I wanted to avoid staying in a touristy rental and pretend like we lived in Paris. And that's exactly what we did. It was a feast for the senses. In the morning, if the bedroom was window open, I woke to sound of birdsong and the aroma of freshly baked croissant. The boulangerie downstairs was exceptional, and the metro station was directly across the street -- our gateway to the city. Montparnasse itself is a sweet neighborhood, and the apartment is walking distance to groceries, food from around the globe, boutiques, and parks. We didn't rent ebikes, but they were docked right outside the building. Wifi was great, beds comfortable, and the kitchen suitable for our needs. We also washed our clothes and in washer and they dried quickly on the drying rack. Thank you Anne!

Lovely host, but a bit like staying in Grandmas spare room

Anne is a very responsive host and I believe she cares about her customers comfort and well being.The apartment is in a great spot close to buses,Metro and local shops. It is an older style block but we had no issues with the lift. I understand that this is Annes part time home and as such she has her belongings in it but I personally found it very cluttered and felt that there was not the space for us to really "bed down " and make it comfortable for us. I felt like I was staying in my Grandmothers spare room.. a little cluttered ,dated and dusty . I believe it could do with a bit of a spruce up and a deep clean ( some things were quite grubby and a bit shoddy, a few light fittings had faulty switches and the coffee table had an unsecured glass top that had chipped edges ) I found the bed & pillows lumpy and uncomfortable and not of the quality I would expect in a rental. And thats the thing as much as it is a home it is also a rental business and as such should have certain standards of comfort, cleanliness and safety.

A True Parisian Experience!!!

Great location: Métro, busses, taxis, bikes to rent just steps away from the front door. Restaurants galore! Easy access to multiple stores: grocery, book, antique, clothing, etc. The apartment is equipped with everything once needs for a pleasant stay. Communication with Anne and with her friend Françoise made everything run as smoothly as possible. We had the opportunity to have their cleaning lady, Apsha, tidy things up for us during our 4-week stay. All in all, our experience was flawless from start to finish.

Great home, great location

What a great stay. The owner was very gracious and responsive. We have stayed in lots of sterile investment properties with little personality. This is not that! This apartment has a great, lived-in feel. We felt like we were staying at a (well-read) relative's home. It is right across the street from a clean, quiet metro station (which was amazing for us!), with any necessary shopping close by. I will add the caveat that being ok with stairs is kind of a must, mostly for the metro, but also for the temperamental elevator in the building (it probably worked 60% of the time we were there). It wasn't too big a deal getting to the third floor, but if we couldn't do stairs, it wouldn't be quite so easy. If you're looking to stay in a hotel with A/C and a view of the Eiffel Tower around a bunch of other tourists, then this is not the place for you; but if you want to be immersed in daily life in Paris, then this is a perfect spot. We loved it!

perfect location for a Paris neighborhood experience

We were across the street from one metro station, a very short walk to a bus stop and a little bit longer walk to a second metro station. The neighborhood has restaurants, a pharmacy, a grocery and the all-important macaroon shop nearby. We loved the neighborhood experience instead of being in a touristy hotel. The living/dining area (with the pull-out sofa bed) could benefit from some blinds/drapes that cover the entire windows to darken the nighttime street light. We appreciated the elevator access after walking/climbing stairs all day while sight-seeing.

Comfortable and convenient apartment with the ambience of a centre of learning in that there are hundreds of books and the apartment is a great place to read them. (I felt like I earned a university credit just reading the titles). Small and old fashioned with the personal touch of someone's much loved home. Ideal for two - though our daughter came over from London and stayed a few nights with us on the lounge sofa bed). Nevertheless it has all you need for a convenient base to explore Paris and its artistic, historical and architectural wonders. It is a comfortable 20-25 minute walk to the Eiffel Tower and there is a Metro and bus stops too, right across the street. Shops, boulangeries etc. and restaurants are all very conveniently located nearby. Would happily stay there again and Anne and Francoise were a pleasure to deal with.

50th Anniversary

My husband and I celebrated our 50th anniversary by treating ourselves to a two months stay in Paris, my home town.Our hostess, Anne, was very responsive to any questions we may have, and she was concerned that we were comfortable and that we didn't need anything. There were some problems with the apartment, lack of room for our things, old equipment, all of which can be remedied. The bedroom bed and the bed in the dining room were very comfortable. The bedroom was very quiet, facing a bright courtyard. The other part of the apartment faced a busy street, but it wasn't a problem. There is a subway stop across the street, and various bus lines a block away. The rue Lecourbe, just a block away, has many shops, fruit and vegetable store, fish store, cheese store. On Rue Cambronne is the famous Androuet cheese store. Down the block from the apartment, there is a store that sells Berthillon ice cream, the best in France. Other high rated stores are Hermé, up the street, LeNÎtre, down the block. There are more boulangeries around than days in the week. And a few supermarkets, Parisian size, all around. I didn't know the 15th arrondissement, so I was quite surprised. There are good restaurants as well, and a 20 minute walk will get you to the Montparnasse area, with its famous brasseries: La Couple; La Rotonde; Le Select...if you are into oysters. Everything worth going to in Paris is a relatively easy subway or bus ride.Overall, it was a successful trip.

It was very nice and,

I loved the apartment. I loved having access to a kitchen and a great deal of privacy. If I come back to Paris, I want to come back to this apt. Locally, there is everything you want. Beware of the Epiceries (little grocery stores), esp for selling things that are about to go bad (cheese, fruit). And, if you are not careful they take too much money. Use the Monoprix for food and stuff. But go to the Open Air Market on rue de Barque for fresh fruit, veggies, cheese, fish, and meat, and nice clothes for low prices on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Starts about 8:00am. The Boulangeries around are wonderful and so is Cale des Volontairres. There is a Boucherie (butcher) about 10 min walk. There is also a local Fromagerie near by but I didn't get to it. Definitely worth the trip. OH, and the metro is right! there!!! Line 12.
