Here embassies and government agencies (namely the Palais de L’Élysée) stand shoulder to shoulder with upmarket boutiques and luxury labels. Metro lines 8, 9 12, and 14 connect the Madeleine to all corners of the city, while direct access to the western suburbs and destinations in Normandy is made possible via Gare Saint-Lazare.
