Guest Access: Prior to your arrival, you’ll receive an access code for a seamless and secure self-check-in experience. The Ohana House is completely yours, offering privacy and exclusive access to all amenities, including the kitchen, bedrooms, bathroom, front porch, and covered lanai. Please note that you`ll share a driveway and parking area with the Phoenix House, located about 200 yards away.

The Neighborhood: Our awesome tiny house is situated on the Kalapana lava beds near the base of Kilauea Volcano, offering an off-the-beaten-path experience unlike any other. Despite the remote feel, you`re close to black sand beaches, festive farmers’ markets, and gorgeous coastal drives. The area offers plenty of outdoor activities like hiking and sightseeing.

Getting Around: While the house offers a secluded experience, local attractions are just a short drive away. We recommend having a car to fully experience all that Lower Puna and the surrounding areas have to offer.

Interaction With Guests: If you have any questions or need assistance during your stay, please reach out, and we`ll be available to help. Our considerate caretakers live on-site and are available if needed but will respect your privacy.

✓ Jade`s Lava Sanctuary is private and gated, with other homes and friendly neighbors nearby.

✓ Periodic, brief rain showers; otherwise, mostly warm and sunny weather.

By making a reservation, you are agreeing to follow these HOUSE RULES:

- Please treat the House with Care and Respect, thanks.

- No Smoking inside the house

- No non-paying guests sleeping over

- No parties or events

- Sound travels easily.
Please respect Quiet Hours from 9pm - 8am, so as to respect the neighbors who like to go to bed early.

- We are offgrid and run on batteries at night, so please be conservative with power - dont leave lights or fans on all night, and please turn off porch lights after 9pm.

- If you need an EARLY CHECK IN / LATE CHECK OUT please let us know at least 24 HOURS IN ADVANCE and we will try to accommodate you -- please note that it is NOT GUARANTEED THOUGH, and it depends on our cleaners and our booking schedule. If we are able to change things around to accommodate your request, please note that there will be a convenience charge of $20 per hour that that we are able to give early / late. We will request this via airbnb request.

REGARDING PETS:

- Only 1-2 Pets allowed upon request and payment of the Pet Fee.

IMPORTANT: If you do bring your pet, YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE THEM ALONE & UNSUPERVISED IN THE HOUSE! As we have found the hard way that they will then bark non-stop and disturb the neighbors, as well as possibly do damage to the house when left unattended. So please do not plan on bringing them and then leaving them alone in the house while you go on excursions, etc.

Also any dog (including service dogs) must be leashed at all times on premises.

Also, you must clean up after them or there will be a charge for that, thanks. (Sorry but we have learned things the hard way that we need to say these things).

Regarding Laundry:
- If you need to do laundry, the washer & dryer are located at the back of the Main House nearby (two story house with green porch, behind the red Lava Temple). However, please only do laundry from 8-10am; or 2-6pm as we are off-grid and also the cleaners need it from 10-2pm. Yes you can use our detergent. Plz dont leave your laundry sitting in the washer or dryer, thanks. Mahalo!
