Voyage en famille avec de jeunes enfants

We enjoyed our stay here, but it is important to note that this is not for everyone. This is more of a very communal guest house set up then a typical VRBO or airbnb. So, if you want to experience what life is like as a local on the Big Island then you will enjoy it, but if you are looking for a conventional place to stay while being a tourist you may find this difficult. Here are some things to know:
* The host (Lana) is onsite and her house is next door to where you will be staying. She is very friendly and responsive to your needs.
* You are responsible for taking your trash to the dump (there is a dump about a 10 minute drive that trash has to be taken to but it is only open on Wednesdays and Saturdays). This kind of became a chore for us as we had to start planning our activities around trash disposal.
* It is located in the jungle so if you are not on top of your trash and cleaning the space on a daily basis you will quickly draw ants, bugs, and other pests.
* There are four housing structures on site (the host's house, your guest house, and two other structures) so there may be other people there as well. While we were there, there was another person there who is nice but it is something to be aware of that it is more communal and not very private.
* The toilet is primarily a bidet and any used toilet paper can't be flushed and must be thrown away. That is because this site is off grid and uses rainwater for its greywater so the septic system is very sensitive.
