Lovers Point Victorian

Excellent location. 2 minute walk downtown Pacific Grove, 4 minute walk Lovers Point and 2 minute walk child-friendly Caledonia Park. Relatively close to Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row. Downstairs unit of an 1887 Victorian *duplex*.

Living room features a gas fireplace and comfy leather reading chairs. The unit has two bedrooms and comfortably sleeps four. There is also a sofa bed in the living room that can sleep 1-2 people. Our City permit allows a maximum of five guests total.

Master bedroom features a California king bed, master bathroom and closet. Junior bedroom has a queen-size bed, bathroom, and small closet. Junior bedroom is very small in size. As mentioned, there is a sofa bed in the living room.

The master bathroom has a walk in shower whereas the junior bathroom has a tub/shower.

Kitchen has a new floor and is the only room in the house not recently remodeled (stove and fridge are new, however). Kitchen has basic cookware and coffee is provided for the coffee maker. There is also a blender and toaster.

We remodeled the unit in 2021 and added soundproofing between the floors but it is an 1887 Victorian so it is not noiseless.

Like all other houses in Pacific Grove, the unit does not have air conditioning. Our warmest month is September with a mean high of 73.6F. We do have a high-quality large fan in one of the closets if there is an unseasonably hot day.

We use an electronic door lock so no check-in required.

Other Amenities: Cable television, wireless internet or wifi, private backyard, shared laundry located in side yard between kitchen and garage.

We subscribe to a large selection of cable television channels but do not have direct access to Netflix or Amazon Prime because the second remote caused confusion for some renters. Guests can connect their laptop to the television with an HDMI cable and stream any content from our wifi. We have spare HDMI cables in the cabinet; as backup, a hardware store is a few blocks away and also sells cables.

My family (5 adults) just had a wonderful stay at this property. It is on a quiet small street, but very close to beach and downtown (different directions). The whole unit (on the first floor) is very clean. The kitchen is well stocked and the wifi works well. Parking on the street is pretty easy. Sandra, the site manager, is very responsive and communicates well. We definitely would love to stay here again when we visit Monterey Bay next time.

The house is very nice and is in an excellent location with easy walking access to the Monterey coastal trail and the dining and shops in Pacific Grove. And within a 20 min walk of the Monterey Aquarium on trails. I would highly recommend it. The main level of the house has been updated and the bedrooms, bathrooms and family room are very comfortable. The residents on the upper level were very quiet. Unfortunately, there were storms with high winds the first 2 nights of our stay that resulted in no wifi for a few hours and then no power on Xmas Day that would not be restored for 36 hours. So, rather than a relaxing Xmas Day, we spent time finding alternate accommodations, finding a gas station with power and coffee, packing everything up, and hoping for an early check in at our new hotel and then unpacking and getting a warm shower. None of this was the accommodation's fault, as a lot of PG and Carmel lost electricity. But, our 3 night stay in Monterey/PG was a lot more expensive and disruptive than planned. I would still highly recommend this lodging, especially if there are no storms or high winds in the forecast.

This property is amazing. Very clean and comfortable for a family of 5 adults. Kitchen well stocked. Welcome folder has lots of useful information. Modern upgrades all over the house. Very safe neighborhood and close to everything you need to enjoy a great stay. The host is very responsive and helpful. I definitely recommend this place and would stay there again.

This place was perfect for my son and me while we enjoyed a mini golf vacation playing some of the best courses on the Monterey Peninsula! The host was very receptive to our messages and responded quickly. The accommodations were perfect, clean, comfortable beds, nicely remodeled. We enjoyed the fireplace in the living room. We would certainly go back and stay here without hesitation.

This is my 3rd (or 4th) time staying at this property. It never disappoints. The cleanliness, amenities, and location are really hard to beat. I've previously stayed with my family, but this recent trip was with two girlfriends. It worked out perfectly.

Your house is adorable and so well maintained. The host had a bottle of Monterey wine and chocolates waiting for us when we arrived. During this day, it was very to connect with the hell that answers very quickly. The location is perfect and within walking distance of restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as very short driving distances to get two the main attractions in Monterey. Will definitely go back and stay at this house again. It was a great girls' weekend.

We had an incredible time staying at this house. The size of the house was perfect for my wife and I and our 2 year old daughter. The house was even nicer than it looks in pictures. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need to prepare a meal. Everything worked perfectly. You can tell that the property owners take pride in this home with the cleanliness and attention to detail. We had been concerned about noise with the upstairs unit, but it was not an issue at all. We occasionally heard muffled footsteps but otherwise you would have thought we were in a single story home.You can't really beat the location. There's a really nice park with playgrounds about one minute walk down the street that my daughter loved. Lovers point is about a 3 minute walk. The street is quiet, we left the windows open at night and had no trouble with noise. There's no designated parking but we had no problem finding parking right in front of the house. We were looking at a couple different places before deciding on this house and I am so glad we chose this one. I would definitely recommend it.
