The Blue Door is a modern home built in 2022 in the desirable Dory Pointe neighborhood, just moments from the beach in Pacific City. Relaxing and comfortable, with new furnishings throughout, this thoughtfully designed home offers the perfect home base for your next coastal getaway.

The welcoming, open layout is ideal for gathering—whether you're preparing and sharing meals or cozying up on the couch in front of the warm, glowing fireplace. Garage access provides convenient parking and space to store beach toys and outdoor gear.

​​​​​​​From the front door, it's a short walk to the beach, local pubs, restaurants, and all the fun at Cape Kiwanda. Just behind Dory Pointe, a family-friendly trail system features a scenic one-mile loop, and the neighborhood also offers access to a nearby new skatepark. The low-traffic loop in front of the house is perfect for young kids learning to ride bikes, making The Blue Door a wonderful choice for families and beach lovers alike.

Kiwanda Coastal Properties is a local, professional Oregon Coast vacation rental management company that offers over 50 homes in the Pacific City area. We have been offering beach rental homes for more than 30 years. Reliable management means responsive service, insider guides to the area and a better vacation experience. Our nearby office is staffed 7 days a week ensuring that homes and guests are taken care of if any needs arise. We look forward to accommodating your next beach trip. Cancellation Policy:
1/2 the total cost of the booking is subject to forfeiture if reservation is canceled or changed within 30 days of arrival. 100% of rental rate is charged if cancelled (or no-show) within 14 days of arrival. If the house is fully rebooked by another renter, cancellation charges (less $35) will be refunded. Reservation cancellation fee is $35. (If you book with a 3rd party, different charges may apply).

Occupancy Note:
Occupancy rules are strictly enforced and apply to the entire property during the stay. Additional day-use guests may be allowed with management pre-approval. After your booking is confirmed, you will be sent the full rental contract and terms.

Winter Getaway

The Blue Door was awesome. It had everything you need for a stay at the Beach. The house was well furnished, decorated, with up to date appliances. I especially liked the timer on the bathroom fan. Outside the front door, you have a 5-10 minute walk to the beach, with access starting across the street. If you like quaint towns, good coffee shops, walking the Beach, this is your place!

Central to Pacific City staples

We enjoyed our stay here with our young family. Walkable to pacific city beach, coffee shop, market, and a few restaurants. Also walkable to a more private beach ( a longer walk but paved and not on the road). Perfectly supplied with beach toys and needs. We loved the hot tub during our winter stay. Road noise was very minimal at night and not a bother in the day. The trail behind the neighborhood is a nice one to have access too. The few questions we had the company responded promptly which was lovely. Home even has a few children’s books and games which was nice. Definitely would stay again.

Wonderful home

Very comfortable layout, very clean, well stocked kitchen (but be sure to bring S/P). Wonderful to be able to use beach toys, wagon, bikes that are in the garage. Lots of games available in the LR. Highly recommend this home.

Beautiful and comfortable home

This is one of the best rentals we have stayed in the past 2 years. Was very nicely furnished and had all the amenities necessary for family vacation. Comfortable beds, nice towels and linens. Couldn't get the grill to work unfortunately.

Great choice!

We are a family of 5 adults staying for 2 nights and, although one had to sleep on a bunk beds and three of us shared one bath while the others have their in bedroom bath, the place is perfect for us! First floor also has 0.5 bath by the kitchen/laundry. Kites and bikes were provided. Full kitchen and laundry were awesome. Large screen tv and some board games and puzzles also available. The house is a little not sound proof between rooms though so light sleepers should carry their ear plugs. Garage door can also be opened only from inside so it wasn't super convenient but manageable. They provided lots of night lights here and there, and dim-able lights also nice. Communication was very nice, not chatting with only one person but their whole team through phone messages only during their working hours. Paid by cash/check also got a discount, even we paid after already stayed our first night! Recycling units by their office is also a plus!

Beautiful home, well appointed

The house is new, very clean and well appointed. Easy walking distance to Pelican Brew Pub and coffee shop. The house fronts Cape Kiwanda Dr. and is best accessed through the garage on Centerpointe Loop. All advertised features were there, plus others - books, games, and puzzles for rainy days. A paved path directly across from the front door leads to an extensive walking trail and access to the beach via a wooden ramp. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

Easy place to stay

This house is lovely. Our family of 4 stayed here comfortably for 4 nights. We love the 3 capes area in general. The house is located on a busy road, but that was not a problem for us once we discovered the network of sidewalks and side streets that took us over dunes and straight to the beach. And our only plan was beach. The house is more than adequate for a family of 4, comfortable and clean. The only thing missing was salt and pepper which was an easy fix.
