We used this apartment as our home base for a few days in Oslo. What the neighborhood lacked in architectural charm, it made up for in diversity and convenience. The apartment was adequate -- just enough space for our 4-person family but no frills. The deck was less furnished than the listing depicts. There were some items that I would have considered basic that weren't available, e.g. kitchen towels (neither cloth nor paper) and water glasses (only wine glasses and mugs), and note that no laundry detergent is provided. I also found the communications through the property manager, Dinbnb, to be frustrating and confusing. I appreciate that the company is trying to add value via streamlined management of properties across Norway; however, I had multiple VRBO bookings using that platform over the course of a multi-leg trip, and the communications with Dinbnb about the different properties got muddled together in the VRBO inbox. (Not to mention, they were at times repetitive or unclear.)All that said, we enjoyed our time in Oslo. The location of the apartment put us within convenient walking or short metro distance from many of the sites and neighborhoods that we wanted to visit.

Great location

Fabulous little apartment, close to coffee shops, bars, shops and restaurants. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the Munch museum, Opera House and water front restaurants
.walking to the Royal Palace was around 15 minutes (more if you schmooze the shops along the way). We filled our three days with trips to Botanical Gardens (10 minute walk), Opera House (10 minute walk) and explored every nook and cranny Oslo offered. We spent a day using the Ferry (30 minute walk) to visit the islands in the Oslo Fjord, the best way to explore the city is to walk and this apartment is ideally placed to enable this. Oslo is an amazing city to schmooch around and this spotlessly clean apartment is an ideal base. Communication was almost immediate and there were regular check ins to ensure everything was ok with our stay. I felt confident that if there had been an issue it would have been resolved. We had paid for an early check in and unfortunately due to the apartment being cleaned this was delayed, however Dinbnb called me to apologise and let me know and gave regular updates to tell us when it would be ready. They immediately processed a refund and I cannot fault their efficiency.We definitely recommend the apartment for an Oslo stay
