Good for what we needed

It was a good size place for us. Checking in was not good. The front desk guy locked us out as we walked up and said he was clocked out so we needed to wait for security to check us in?? When the night before I received a call to co firm my stay they said front desk was open 24/7. I emailed the host about this issue with no response for the 3 more days we were there. We received a key from security with our room number with no instructions on how to get to the room just had to figure it out. After driving all day that wasn’t a fun ending to our night. I then had to get up to go re-check in in the morning between 7 & 11. Besides that we were only on property to sleep so we didn’t use the amenities or even really know what they were.

Super nice resort

We really enjoyed our stay at westgate Blue Tree resort. The unit the willow was quiet and nice. 5 pools very close by. Gas grill available making a BBQ possible. The full kitchen had all the items we needed. We'll maintained unit. We really enjoyed our stay. A home away from home. We will come again.

Loved this stay. We had been informed on the flight down our stay was cancelled. So, getting this stay was a miracle. We loved the positive family atmosphere. Anything we asked for was answered promptly. Would definitely book again.

Perfect location

Perfect for what we needed. Unit was basic but very clean and had everything we needed (except batteries in one of the TV remotes). Appreciated the toiletries and kitchen necessities. Snack bar in the lobby is a good place for a quick snack or coffee in the morning. Location is perfect if you are going to Universal. Just a quick Uber ride away!

Avoid this property during hurricane season!

My friends and I booked this place for a weekend trip in Orlando with plans to go to the parks. Unfortunately, this weekend trip ended up being the weekend that hurricane Ian hit Florida. I immediately contacted the host to see what could be done if the hurricane ended up hitting FL, and to see if he would consider a refund for a late cancellation due to the hurricane. This message was sent a week before my stay, and I could have gotten a 50% refund at this point, but my group and I really did not want to cancel our trip. He waited 4 days before getting back to me, and at that point I was unable to even cancel my trip for a 50% refund. After a few calls he eventually said he was unable to refund us as the timeshare property that is listed already charged his account. I later found out that the timeshare would have refunded him, but he waited too long to initiate the refund. I contact the host again and he said that he could not refund me because of the vrbo cancellation policy. I contact vrbo customer service and they said that the host can still refund me and sent him a message to do so. He has ignored this message per customer service. After the hurricane hit FL, I call him again to see what can be done and he denies there being a natural disaster, denies significant flooding in the Orlando area, denies there being damage to any of the highways, and states that even the parks are open, so there was no reason for my party and I not go to Orlando and that I will be at fault if I don’t show. A quick Google search will quickly dis-prove all of this. He eventually offers to move the travel date to a different weekend, but tells me that I would have to send him more money and he will not be able to give me any written confirmation of the change of date or that this new reservation was even ever made. Unless you’re flying into FL and can get travel insurance, I would avoid booking with this host unless you’re booking the day of your stay.

Perfect family rental

Host was very helpful and fast to book our rental. Rental was very clean and perfect for a family vacation. Pool was nice and clean. My family was also able to enjoy a fun pool game with other families. Will rent again soon.

Deep Clean and Items Needed

Overall great stay, just needs a few things. Smells like old smoke. Mold in the master shower. NOT OKAY! Needs a spatula and pizza sheet. Keep in mind: 2nd floor, Very close to the pool 3. Comes with some noise. Having a washer and dryer was a bonus.

Nice property

We stayed here instead of a hotel during our daughter's cheer competition. It gave us space to relax. Was very convenient so close to both parks and all kinds of food. Loved that pools were heated. Would stay here again.

Disney Trip

This property was perfect for our recent family trip to Disney. It was very clean with 2 bdrms and showers. It overlooks the pool area but the noise was minimum AND it was nice to jump in the heated pool and relax after a long day at the parks. Definitely recommend.

National Dog Show

I actually book at the incorrect Westgate property compared to where we usually stayed. I usually book at the Lakes property, which is bigger and offers more amenities but this location worked out just fine with the location and plenty of eating and shopping places very close.

Decent place to sleep

We stayed here for our most recent visit to Disney. The owner sent a couple emails through VRBO and two reservation numbers. That confused the front desk some upon check-in. Worth noting, I picked this place because the pictures showed a jacuzzi tub, which I thought would be wonderful after visiting the parks all day. Unfortunately West Gate Blue Tree resorts don’t have those tubs, those are in the deluxe villas
that was very disappointing. The beds were great, the pillows were big and comfy. The kitchen was clean and upgraded. I asked for a blender and they brought one right away. They also gave us some free waters one night when we got In late and the market was closed. Other things to note: unit had dishwasher and washer and dryer. The dishwasher and clothes washer were VERY noisy and the fridge had a loud, constant buzz. I would recommend using the washer and dishwasher just before leaving out for the day. Also we asked for a 1st floor unit due to heavy suitcases. It sounded like kids were dancing above us the night before we left, but it was relatively quiet by bed time. The place did smell kind of musty upon arrival and it was the worst in the hall bathroom. It’s prob because of the age of the unit. They have lots of pools and activities for kids and adults. The service was really great! They were very kind and helpful.

Very close to all Disney Parks and the OCCC

Property was clean, had plenty of amenities/things to do if we were on site. Plenty of space for our family. Staff was knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. The only minor issue was low water pressure in the bathroom sink faucet and kitchen water wouldn't get hot. We had a great time and enjoyed our stay!

No heat in the unit!

We visit Florida during winter months because we don’t like the extreme heat and humidity that is Florida in the summer. We visited during a time when it was 65 degrees or so - perfect for us! What we didn’t expect was that the unit at the Westgate Blue Tree Resort would not have any heat. The “heating” system is actually only a cooling system. Though we had the thermostat set to 70 degrees, the thermostat never rose above 60 degrees. It was colder inside than outside. We thought it was our unit but the front desk explained they only have cooling - no heat. We asked for three space heaters so we could make the space livable. We will not return.
