Overall the stay was good. The house was clean and nice. The reason this isn't 5 stars is for the following reasons... the shower was not ever hot only warm and it took forever to even get warm, and the temperature in the house would not go below 72 degrees (in all fairness, this was written in the rules, but I did not see this). The sink in the downstairs bathroom was clogged. The kitchen didn't have a cookie sheet, coffee filters, or salt and pepper, so there were basics that needed to be purchased just to get through the week. The fan in the bedroom was broken and the chair legs in the living room were also broken. The pool skimmer was broken, the hose had so many kinks I spent 30 minutes working on it so I could fill the pool to have water over the filter (probably why the skimmer has issues); and the screen has a hole in it. I didn't bother bringing this to the host because they didn't reply to me when I brought things to them as they were very unresponsive. I had to go to VRBO to get them to respond before my trip to ensure the pool would be heated and then we had to reach out to the property management company during our stay for help with the grill onsite (there were also no metal tools for grilling).I don't want to sound harsh - the house was nice - but it lacks the basics that are needed for the stay and we needed to shop to make sure we could enjoy the week. I would probably find another spot to stay next time.
