Ben's Beach Bungalow: A Pet-friendly, Designer Cottage Steps from the Beach

Tired of standing in line for the elevators? Being charged a fee for everything? Leaving your beloved furry family member home? Look no further than Ben's Beach Bungalow to provide a space where your whole family can be together! We are located in charming Tannin Village in Orange Beach across the street from our private entrance to the beach. You can be on the beach and in the water faster than a condo elevator ride! We are also located next to Gulf State Park, with our own private entrance, for fabulous biking, walking, and running adventures. We have a swimming pool right outside the front door, so you can relax with drinks from the porch or make dinner while you keep an eye on your kids in the pool.

After turning into Tannin Village, you'll be in a charming, walkable village with brick-paved roads, an ice cream shop, smoothie shop, and bike-rental shop. Kids ride their bikes with fishing poles in their baskets on the way to the beach or the pond. You'll pull up to our two-story white cottage and park in your own spot big enough for two cars, The porch greets you with comfy seating.

Upon entering, you'll be greeted with treats for everyone! Special taffy from the Great Salt Lake for people and cookies for pets. You can make a reviving cup of coffee in the Keurig, automatic pot, or French press. Stow your belongs in the bench or hooks by the front door to keep clutter out of the way. Gather with the family for meals at the large dining table or cuddle up for a movie on the 75-inch smart TV. If you feel like cooking, we have a fully-stocked kitchen, including a griddle for pancakes or to heat taco shells for taco night. Don't feel like cooking? There are so many fabulous restaurants nearby.

You'll find the two bedrooms upstairs, each with their own en suite bathroom. Each bathroom has a hair dryer, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and toilet paper. Ben's Bunk Room has one full bed and one twin bed with a twin trundle, for versatile sleeping configurations. The beds have Casper CoolGel mattresses for ultimate plush sleeping and rooms with black out shades and curtains for a good night's rest. Pile on the daybed to play video games or watch a movie. There is also a desk, in case you need to get a little work done or hop on a zoom call. The bunkroom bathroom features a tub/shower combo in case little bittys need to be bathed.

Stare at the beach (okay, it's our wall mural) from the comfort of your king size bed with lush mattress in Ben's Big Room. There is also an XL-Twin trundle bed that you can pull out for versatile sleeping arrangements. Ben's Big Room is also equipped with black-out shades and curtains to block out sound and light. The view from the windows overlooks the swimming pool. It also features sound machines and phone chargers. The bathroom features a walk-in shower, shampoo, conditioner, soap, and hair dryer.

There are plenty of Instagrammable moments throughout the house. Every detail is thoughtfully planned, from the 5' x 7' reproduction of an old Orange Beach advertising campaign to our custom neon sign and mural of Orange Beach.

There is a washer/dryer in the hallway for your convenience. We provide laundry soap, dish soap, paper towels, and garbage bags. We also have a pack and play, high chair, and baby gate on hand for little ones. Other amenities include beach towels; a little library; games; community beach toys; chairs, wagon, umbrellas.

When you are ready to go to the beach, load up the wagon, hit the crosswalk button on the light, head across the street to the path to the beach. White sands and sparkling blue water await you. After a day in the sun, you can head back across the street, grab some ice cream at Pete's Ice Cream shop, rinse off in the outdoor shower, and settle in for the evening.

Who is Ben, you may wonder? Ben is our little schnauzer that was rescued from a cruelty situation by our local animal shelter. We adopted him after fostering him, and due to the extent of his injuries and the treatment required for them, we could no longer travel without him. In order to continue our annual family vacations to the Gulf Coast, we bought this house for him and other families like ours who can't or don't want to leave their furry family members behind. We are passionate about animal rescue, and your stay here does more than provide incredible memories for you and your family, it supports pet rescue.
