WELCOME to the "The Cottage at Doe Bay" where you and your family will have access to the ENTIRE HOME. This two story home has 1 master bedroom and 2 bathrooms with a maximum occupancy of 5. The upstairs master bedroom loft lends a cozy type feel with a loveseat couch (which can be expanded to a small bed) and coffee table, a new king sized mattress and all the amenities needed to recharge (including at TV). The simplicity of the master bedroom/loft room is on purpose... once you lay down and see the view yourself you will understand! ; ) In addition to the

master bedroom, the home includes a second private room with sleeping arrangements with two full bunk beds for up to three guests and its own ensuite bathroom with a shower and heated floors. It’s perfect for families or small groups looking for extra comfort and privacy. There is a second bathroom located on the main floor by the laundry and mud room entrance, opposite of the kitchen. This bathroom also offers heated floors, a walk in shower and single vanity.

The Cottage at Doe Bay offers a full kitchen with a large kitchen island and seating for five, a four burner gas stove, electric oven, refrigerator/freezer, coffee maker, microwave, toaster oven, blender, utensils, wine glasses, plates, bowls, pots/pans, baking pans, ect. Additionally, the kitchen offers access to the large deck/propane BBQ (w/ provided propane), a propane fireplace, outdoor seating and waterfront views.

The modern and spacious living area has a large L-shaped couch and lounge chair, a 50inch smart tv wand ROKU streaming device capable of streaming Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Apple TV, HBO ect. Although, full views of Rosario Straight and surrounding San Juan Islands might be all the viewing pleasure you need.

The Cottage at Doe Bay has a large, deck equipped with a filled propane tank/BBQ (propane is provided), propane fireplace, doors accessing the family room and kitchen, outdoor seating and incredible views of the Rosario Straight and the surrounding San Juan islands. 

**Availability note: Weekends tend to book quickly, but we offer lower rates on weekdays — perfect if your schedule is flexible and you’re looking for a great value.

**New to ferry travel? Don’t stress — we offer simple, easy-to-follow ferry tips to help make your arrival seamless. Once you’re on island, we’re available 24/7 to help with anything you need.

**We offer a limited number of kayaks and paddleboards available to rent during your stay. Equipment can be staged at the home prior to arrival for an additional fee. Reach out with any questions—whether you’re staying with us or not.

Once we turned off the highway onto the packed dirt road leading to the home we knew we had made the right choice! The home was perfectly sized for a family of two children and two adults. The kitchen was easy for two people to work together in and the big couch provided plenty of opportunity for relaxing between dips in the hot tub. The hot tub was absolutely the highlight of the trip. With a beautiful view and located only steps from the warm house.

Lovely place, very quiet and serene. The olive oil, salt, pepper, coffee seem like you can count on them being nicely stocked which is nice. The shower and toiletries were great. My tips for a good stay would be to bring a robe as there aren’t window treatments for the walk from the larger bedroom to a bathroom and be advised there are stairs to get to the various rooms if that is an issue for you. There isn’t an ice maker. This part of Orcas is very seasonal so make sure the things you want to do are open.

Peaceful retreat

We stayed at the Cottage at Doe Bay for about a week in late September and had such an amazing time. It was so peaceful and quiet. My husband and I enjoy to cook and thought the kitchen was well stocked. The bed was also comfy. The cottage is within walking distance to Doe Bay Resort and that was also an amazing little spot. It has a nice farm to table cafe and we had dinner and happy hour while we were there. They do have limited days and hours. But I think that’s just island time. Would definitely come back!

Lovely weekend retreat

This quiet home had beautiful views of the puget sound from the kitchen, living room, and master bedroom. One evening we went on a walk and we saw dolphins and otters swimming around, just walking on the cul de sac. The house was very well stocked. And I'm not just talking the kitchen, but the whole house. Books, board games, first aid kit, multiple flashlights - even a set of binoculars!! Which we totally used hoping to see whales (sadly, not this trip). The location is a bit far from town, but the restaurants nearby were great and it wasn't far from Moran state park. I would recommend staying here for a quiet weekend away.

House with a view

Our Doe Bay stay was wonderful especially with the location of the house. Close to Doe Bay resort and their fabulous restaurant, this house was cozy without being tight, had lovely dark skies, and was in a very quiet location. Not interested in eating out? The kitchen is very well stocked with pots, pans, silverware and knives.

Good Get Away

The house is very comfortable with a good view of the sound except keep in mind that there is a house in front but to left which can be seen in the pictures on the website. There is a great view looking to the right from the deck and living room and from the loft. The kitchen is nicely equipped with the items that you need to cook with and spacious. The bathroom for the guest who sleep in the king bed in the loft is down a small flight of stairs which I misunderstood when reading the description of the house but it wasn’t a problem. The bedroom with the bunk beds has a nice bathroom adjacent to this room. The place was easy to find - would suggest arriving initially in the daytime. There were neighbors close by but they were very quiet. The island is beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay .

A lovely escape

It was lovely to stay in this home. It had a nice view and deck to sit out on. It was very peaceful and nicely decorated. The kitchen was wonderful for cooking. When out on dog walks I often saw deer in the woods, and it was an easy walk to the Doe Bay Resort, where I grabbed dinner one evening. All around a great stay.

Amazing, relaxing home!

We spent a wonderful week at this rental and can’t say enough great things! The location is beautiful, the house is so well appointed, and the owner was really communicative and helpful. We especially loved the relaxing vibe (great decor!) and the well stocked kitchen. It was great to have the Roku TV, too. This was the perfect home base for us and our pup for a week of exploring beautiful Orcas. We loved it so much, we asked to add on a night to our stay! Highly recommend this property - you won’t be disappointed!
