The hosts at this property were excellent; very friendly and accommodating, very responsive to all communications and willing to provide any requested items (like larger coffee mugs, a can opener) and were appreciative of any suggestions we had to make their property more user friendly. Since we are long time campers, the amenities more than met our expectations. Also, we donât eat out very often and while we had packed a few essentials (seasonings, a good sharp knife, electric frying pan), most of what we needed was provided. A major consideration for our interest in this particular property was its location. As avid recreational cyclists, kayakers and hikers, it was a great home base. The Nature Coast Rail Trail was literally across the road and the hosts had cleared a short path between it and the road so we could hop right on the trail. This location is also surrounded by springs. There were two state parks close by as well as Anderson Wildlife Management Area for hiking, biking and views of the springs. A little farther away was the Lower Suwannee National Wildlife Refuge. While we didnât put our boats in the water, there were access points for kayaking in the Suwannee River too. We stayed 11 days and were able to enjoy a different activity almost every day. We hope to return some day.
