This was a fantastic place to stay for a front-row beach view. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck watching (and listening to) the ocean. It was so convenient to get from the house to the beach to set up. They provided chairs and umbrellas, which were great since we did not have room in the car to bring ours. Overall, it was a great place to stay and we would go back for sure.

Perfect location for sunrise walks on the beach, etc. The building, itself, could use a little TLC, but we spent most of the time outside on the porch. Wifi worked well, bathrooms and kitchen were clean and beds were fine. Being near the end of the island was useful for walking our dog, but would recommend a golf cart to rent if you didn't want to drive your car or walk everywhere.

The house was very nice. Had never stayed right on the ocean before. The property managers were excellent. There were a few issues that we noticed after checking in and they had everything repairs quickly.If I had any issue, it was that the unit does need some updates. Many of the kitchen cabinets, and some of the bathroom cabinets would not stay shut. Also, there was a wide variety of kitchen utensils, cookware, prep items....just not fully organized. Many things were just scattered into the lower cabinets. The dishes and glasses were great. And plenty of them. It was a bit tight with the stove/oven right up next to the refrigerator. A little crowded. Loved the deck and spent much time out there just feeling the ocean breezes...

Beautiful beach, nice home

This home was spacious and a great location right on the beach. The rooms were nice and fully furnished. There was tons of patio furniture to enjoy the beach in. I would definitely come back to this home. The stairs are steep and may be hard for someone with mobility issues. The owner was very nice.

Familymoon at the Sandlot!

This was our first stay on Ocean Isle. Jacks home was perfect for my family, including parents and 6 children. Along with our dog, Sugar, we spent close to a week celebrating our marriage. This was our “Familymoon” after tying the knot the week prior. Jack’s hospitality was on point. He put together a wonderful home with all the right touches to make our stay comfortable and accommodating.Not to mention the view! We did our best to live on that porch and in the sand, just a few steps from the home. We fished, swam, threw a frisby, sunbathed, and gathered starfish in the cove a couple hundred yards away. The place was so perfect, we rarely ventured into the town; we had all we needed right there at “The Sand Lot”. Thank you Jack for helping make our first few weeks as a married couple, special.

Our getaway

We seriously loved this house. Very clean and the beds are comfortable! We had our dogs and walked to the beach daily. My husband sat on the deck and watched the ocean every day as he couldn’t walk out to the beach. The only way it could have been better was if there was a walkway from the deck to the beach. We had a blast!

Wonderful Property Right on the Beach

We had a wonderful stay. The house is right on the beach with their deck facing the beach. We spent many hours on the deck and beach. Watched amazing sunrises and sunsets. The hosts were very responsive. Definitely would stay here again.

Best Oceanfront Pet Friendly

My husband and I and our well behaved, ocean loving dog thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. Located at the far east end of the island, every day starts with a gorgeous sunrise. We would highly recommend this home.

Another great vacation at this cottage

We had a wonderful stay at this cottage on the beach! This was our 2nd time at the Sandlot. The location is perfect with just a walk down the steps to the beach. We loved the elevated chairs on the deck for an unobstructed view of the ocean. The cottage was well appointed, clean and had everything we needed. The hosts were great and contacted us the day of arrival with check-in instructions. I definitely see another stay in our future!

Beautiful house on the beach

We had a wonderful 6 night stay in Ocean Isle Beach at this property. There is nothing better than waking up and walking right out to the beach. Very pet friendly area, a tad windy at times but we had beautiful weather otherwise. Restaurants, grocery stores and other activities are within a 5-10 minute drive. Will definitely be returning in the future. Thanks!
