Upon check-in, the home was in "okay condition," but there were many things wrong. The house needed a good cleaning, the grass was almost knee high, the pool was very dirty, dog poop on the walkway to the dock, all the outdoor furniture was rusted and stained. We were told by the owner that towels would be provided, and they were... just in the washer and dryer; we had to finish doing laundry to use them. There was a pile of laundry on the floor that we were told the cleaning lady accidentally left behind. The central air conditioning in the house must not have been working, so there are units in the windows of every room. It stayed warm in the house, with temperatures around 78 throughout the day, even with the units on. ALL window units had black mold on the vents. The pool area is where we spent most of our time. We tried to use the grill, but only two out of the three burners worked, making grilling difficult. There were roaches in the grill. Bugs were everywhere as well. We contacted the host several times about the issues, and she addressed some of them, such as the grass. A man came to weed-eat the grass, which was not cut with the lawnmower, and threw the clippings everywhere. The pool was cleaned by a company the next day. For the amount we paid, we expected a little better of a place. On a positive note, the beach is close with access across the street from the road. The dock was nice to hop on the boat with friends. And we spent most of the time in the pool area.
