Sunset Island is a private bayfront community, conveniently located on 67th Street in Ocean City, MD. This luxurious resort offers everything you need for a safe and enjoyable family vacation. Just two blocks from the Atlantic Ocean, Sunset Island features an indoor pool, outdoor pool, kiddie pool, three private beaches, a fitness center, boat slips, a crabbing pier, an island café/restaurant, a general store, 24-hour security with gated access, an interactive fountain, and great community activities.

Amenity Fees: $220.00 covers 6 facility & 3 parking passes.  Please note, additional facility passes are $75 per pass, per person per week.

Awesome!

Very nice well kept place. We had a family of ten and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Plenty of balconies with furniture made it very relaxing! The property was close to the pool which made it much easier with 3 young children to walk to. The ocean is about a 10 minute walk but with the young kids it took longer, however they also have a beach behind the pool into the bay. Sunset island knows how to attract people,it’s a beautiful place with plenty of wild life and adventures to have.

Family normally rents from Sunset Island for week vacation. Rental Home wasn’t 100% clean. Inside Refrigerator was not cleaned especially inside the drawers. No access to a mop (utility closet locked). Found a dirty broom tucked away in a corner of the garage. There was a wet vac mop however no dirt pad on the bottom so unable to use. No where to store our food items we would normally put away in pantry (other homes we rented in Sunset Island accommodated all these issues). Upstairs tv with bunk bed did not work which we reported a few times but never fixed. Unfortunately this was the kids room so no tv. The dimensions of the bed (bunk) we were provided did not fit the same size sheets which we improvised and made do. There was a major ANT issue where ants were infested on floor 1. Family members staying in that room found ants everywhere, including crawling in the bed and in the rug. Made the stay very uncomfortable. One family member called the main office and they sent exterminator out the next day. Exterminator arrived late. The family waited for them to arrived before leaving because we were required to vacate the house for 2 hours during the process which was a bit inconvenient since we had small children and an elderly person. Also, we had access to items within the home such as bikes for riding and they were locked in this home. Our family member asked the office and told due to liability issues we could not use. This is understandable however a bit disappointing since the family has used them in other SI homes. If looking for shade while sitting outside, neither balcony has an overhead roof at this property. Lastly, the washer/dryer is a bit old and not the best when trying to start the washer and dryer takes awhile to dry. Called the office regarding the washer and they did have someone come out to look at it. Honestly I believe maintenance came out a few days after she called which wasn’t the worst since not really much to wash at that time. Lastly, the only complaint we have every year is the lack of swim passes. The 5 bedroom homes accommodate double the amount of people then passes we are provided with. We had approximately 12 people and only given 6 passes. This is extremely inconvenient because renters are unable to all go to the pool as a family 
have to take turns. For the amount of money families are spending to rent these homes they should Pat least provide the number of passes for each person.

My family has spent ten years going to OBX and this was our first year in OCMD. The home location was ideal and Sunset was a very nice community. Our house was a little more "run down" then we were used too, but it served its purpose.

Lovely, well decorated home with a short walk to the bay and beach! It had everything our family needed for a fun vacation. Well equipped kitchen and the bay view from the second floor balcony was lovely. Having the kayak and paddle board rental at the entrance was a real plus. Great vacation spot!

Great view!

Terrific location. Great house. Parking is always challenging! Not allowed to park out front on any streets and getting more than two cars in garage and small pad very very difficult! Owner stuff in garage, shower and garbage can by pad. Street/clamshell parking should be allowed!
