If you're looking for your next, best-ever vacation in Ocean City, 3 Canal Side Mews in Sunset Island is just what you need. This five-bedroom, four-and-a-half-bathroom townhouse has a beautiful and spacious living room where you can enjoy movie nights with friends and family, a fully equipped kitchen with high-end appliances, and a large dining area. The townhouse has been professionally decorated with beachy accents and charming details. Enjoy such wonderful features as seven TVs, free WiFi, a soaking tub, private balconies with beautiful bay views, and parking for three cars - all included in your Sunset Island experience.

Sunset Island is Ocean City's premier gated community, boasting luxurious amenities in an ideal location that's central to all this resort town has to offer. This private, 37-acre island includes every amenity, such as stunning bay views, walking trails, indoor and outdoor pools, an interactive fountain, a fishing/crabbing pier, a clubhouse, three private bay beaches, The Landing Restaurant, a market, boat docks, and a convenient midtown location at 67th Street.

Things to Know
A building registration fee includes six facility passes and three parking passes. Additional facility passes are $75 per pass, per person per week. Children three and under do not require a facility pass. The fees are the following: Winter (January 1 - April 30 and October 1 – December 31) = $100. Spring (May 1- May 23) = $150. Summer (Sunday BEFORE Memorial Day, May 24 to Saturday AFTER Labor Day, September 12) = $200
Ocean City has adopted a noise control ordinance that makes it unlawful to cause or permit noise levels which exceed those established by the Department of the Environment of the State of Maryland (COMAR 26.02.03.02) or are in violation of Chapter 30, Article V of the Town Code. It shall be a violation of this agreement and grounds for eviction under Maryland law if these noise levels are exceeded as a result of activity on this property. Ocean City has other noise ordinances, which are criminal offenses if violated.

Parking notes: There is parking available for a fee and charges will apply for 3 vehicles.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

Nice Townhome in a Great Community

We had a nice stay here - spacious accommodations that included everything we needed. We stayed in the offseason (December), so the one minor critique is that we weren't told the hot-water heater was unplugged. Once we got that figured out and addressed, everything was perfect.

2023 Vacation

This is our second year at Sunset Island. Rented 2 houses for the entire family. Great area for all ages. Houses are clean big and accommodating for parking, eating and hanging out.

Great Place

Great location on Sunset Island right on the canal, but could use some new cookware. Microwave over the stove was not working. They had a stand alone on the counter, but still had no range for the stove. Otherwise, clean, well kept, and the bedding arrangements worked well for a large family and.

Great community & location away from big crowds but close enough to everything. The townhouse we stayed at needed to be cleaned better. Stains on the quilts and the one in my sons room was stuffed in the closet not folded. TV’s didn’t work, good thing we had our fire stick we were able to watch the big tv I. The living room it was the only one that worked. The master suite bathroom the light by the toilet didn’t work so you could close the door for privacy. Over all the staff was amazing at the front gate, pool area and bar. We had a good stay and would come again but would take the time to talk to the office which we didn’t have time to do this time around. Thank you

Great Location

This house was wonderful. The canal outside was refreshing. The area made for great morning walks. There were plenty of beds for everyone. Fortunately, you could park across the street to get to the beach. It really was a wonderful experience.

Property was okay. The carpet needs to be replaced as it was worn from wear and tear. The place was also not as clean as it should be. Debris and dirt on the floor. In the bedroom upstairs there wasn’t a dresser. The furniture is dated.

Some highs some lows

Overall the house itself was very spacious & accommodated our family well. While you could tell it was not family owned the space was clean and adequate. Because of COVID we tried reaching out several times to ask about the pool situation. We never got a response and only found out about the pool procedures the day we checked in. We were told you have to make reservations using the website. After that did not work we called the clubhouse only to find out they were booked for the week & people were calling ahead of their vacations to reserve spots. We were very disappointed especially for our kiddos who were looking forward to some pool time. Overall the community is really quaint, the little bay beaches were nice to have with little ones. And the sunsets are amazing. The walking path around the community is great for those that love to get a little outside exercise. And the splashpad was a huge hit for our whole familiy.

Nice property

Centrally located gated community on the bay. Views are limited from this unit. Community has a pool which you have to sign up for time slots but always got in on the standby line. We crabbed off their pier and had a great time. The unit has 4 floors the furniture is older but adequate. Longer vehicles will have trouble parking as both garage and small driveway are not deep. The truck we had would not fit in the garage and the large SUV had less than 2” clearance in the garage. Great location on the island short walk to the ocean and not far from busier downtown. We had 6 adults two children and a toddler with plenty of room. One caution lots of stairs. We would definitely stay again.

Amazing property and community we loved it very much. Will definitely stay here again.

The home had a lot of space for all the family to spread out very sound proof home too. Nice decor. Comfortable beds too. Really nice community. It seems the property should also get a shell parking space too.

The property was what I expected

When I first arrived at the property I couldn't get in the keypad wouldn't take the code so me and my family had to wait for the owner to come and let us in. The property wasn't clean trash everywhere the carpet needs to be clean I done stayed in other house in Sunset Island and they never been like that before me and my family wasn't pleased at all.
