The Colonel is a completely renovated 1965 Airstream Land Yacht Overlander. Colonel Marvin Teel was the original owner, hence the name. The Colonel sits in a newly landscaped yard with its own entrance. Located in the Westbrea/Gilman district - walking distance to Solano, Whole Foods, many restaurants and boutiques and less than a mile from BART. The yard includes a pizza oven, lounging area with fire pit grill and dining area. Perfect stay in Berkley

Absolutely perfect spot for two adults and a pup. The airstream is impeccably remodeled while keeping the original charm. And the outdoor space is excellent and perfect as pictured. Within blocks is amazing coffee and bagels. Perfect location for bouncing around Berkley and Oakland. Hosts are kind and easy!

Cute place in great neighborhood!

We loved staying in this fully renovated, tricked-out Airstream, tucked away in a garden area. Great, quiet, beautiful neighborhood close to Gilman shopping, downtown Berkeley, and UC Berkeley. We would stay there again.

Beautifully renovated Airstream! Classic, convenient, clean, comfortable, peaceful and PET FRIENDLY! Gas stove, microwave, mini fridge, coffee maker, cooking supplies, toilet/bidet/heated seat, shower, pizza oven, grill...everything needed for a peaceful retreat!

Relaxing sanctuary in the middle of Berkeley

We stayed here with our dog to get away from the fireworks in San Francisco over the 4th of July, and it absolutely exceeded our expectations! The amenities and decor are all so thoughtfully laid out and had everything we needed. The Airstream is clean and cozy, and the bed was super comfy - it was great waking up feeling like we were camping! We also enjoyed using the pizza oven. Check-in and check-out were super easy. And the neighborhood was relatively quiet and peaceful, with so much good food and coffee in the vicinity. The only issue we had was privacy with the neighbors. Though the fence offered privacy from the outdoor area of the main house, there were two windows and a door of the main house that opened out onto the property that were not tinted or closed. During our stay, the people in the main house opened the windows and could see into our property, and we could hear them from the window. Several times, we saw people staring at us from the door, which was only partly covered, and this made us feel uncomfortable. I looked up the main house and saw that it had a no party/event policy - despite this, our neighbors had guests over on July 5, and the noise was triggering for our dog. Ultimately, we enjoyed our stay and would love to return, but wanted to flag this as a possible point for improvement.

So cute!

This place was super cute, comfortable and cozy. Everything worked and the host had great instructions. The kitchen was well-stocked. We especially loved the backyard space, which was so peaceful at night with the lights. Would definitely stay again!
