Escape to the peaceful setting of our Oakhurst guest suite, perfectly positioned to offer both seclusion and convenience. A quick drive will take you to the center of town, where you`ll find essential services like grocery stores, gas stations, and a selection of restaurants. Despite being so close to these amenities, the property offers a true sense of escape and tranquility.

This is a two bedroom unit with one bathroom in the Master bedroom. It has a spacious living area and full kitchen. We provide starter coffee and tea for your stay.

*Driveway/Parking area is shared with 2 other units, no other space is shared
*This listing is based on double occupancy, meaning there is a fee for each guest beyond 2 people. Day visitors are not allowed so every person on the property at any time, (including infants and children), must be on your reservation. Maximum guest occupancy is 6.
*Please do not try to open locked doors or wonder into patios belonging to other units on the property.
* Early checkin and Late check out must be a arranged in advance and will come with a charge. The Housekeeping company pays their staff by the hour, whether they are cleaning or waiting for guests to leave. In general they charge a fee of $25 per hour to alter the check in or check out time.

We are always quick to respond to messages. We live only 20 minutes away, so if the need arises we are generally able to take care of any issues during your stay.

While we recommend having a vehicle for ease of getting around, it would be possible for a guest to walk (1 mile from YARTS drop off) to the hideout.

Note: At times Yosemite National Park requires reservations, see the official website for details, if you fail to get them you can take the YARTS bus or another tour into the park without reservations.

Charcoal for the grill is not provided. While we try to keep salt, pepper and oil stocked for your convenience, it is not guaranteed.

The thermostat will only allow you to set the temperature between certain minimum and maximum temperature limits. Should you need to exceed these temperature limits there are additional fees.

Please note: some roads from the East, such as Tioga Pass and Glacier Point are seasonal and are closed October through June.

Pack-n-play must be requested in advance.

PLEASE NOTE: Hot Tub is available for use 24/7 but please know that the hot tub servicer may stop by at some point, during daytime hours, to service the hot tub. We do also have other service providers (Gardner, pest control etc) who may be outside on the property during daytime hours, from time to time.

You will receive a fee request after booking to cover housekeeping expenses. The housekeeping company charges $50 for checkouts on any of these holidays.

PLEASE NOTE: We do not alter our cancellation policy for instances of rain, snow, smoke from fires, failure to get reservations for the National Park or closures to the national park. Please purchase your travel insurance accordingly.

After booking, you will be asked to agree to a rental agreement which restates the policies detailed in this listing.

Lost and Found: All lost and found items will be kept for up to 7 days. Shipping cost and staff time to mail it back will be charged to the guest. The minimum fee to ship an item starts at $50 and may increase depending on shipping cost.
*As this is a lower unit, we ask that you are respectful of the guests above you and keep your noise levels reasonable
*Quiet time is 10PM-8AM
*Parking for ONE vehicle included (no trailers/boats), any vehicle beyond one is $25 per night arranged in advance (based on availability), undisclosed vehicles are $50 per night for the duration of your entire reservation.
*Any guest not disclosed in advance of checkin will be charged at double the nightly guest charge(plus taxes, $66.90 per night) for the duration of your entire reservation.
*We charge for INFANTS, please ensure you have included them as `children` on your reservation, or you will receive a fee request after booking to correct the reservation
*Please note you must go through a bedroom to access the bathroom
*No refunds for outages beyond hosts control, ex. WiFi, electric, water, etc
*Smoking anywhere on or in the property will incur a minimum $100 fee
*We are unable to allow pets/service animals as we have a family member whom regularly uses the home and has an extreme allergy. We charge a $500 fee for undisclosed pets/service animals to ensure the safety of our family member.

Great place in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to Yosemite NP south entrance. Our hosts were very responsive to questions. We would definitely stay here again.

Overall nice, clean and good location. Had to reconnect bed frame in master room and is still very rickety. Queen bed frame was sound. Dry erase maker for suggestion board was dry so you can't leave suggestions. One dish towel and no oven mitt was less than ideal. There was only one smoke alarm in the entire unit. Residential building code requires one in each bedroom.

Me and husband two twins age 5 enjoyed our stay at the raccoon Haven! It was very clean and Comfortable! We left it exactly how we got it ! just waiting on our deposit wondering when we’re going to get it back? Ty Sincerely Corral and Petit family

Wish it was a better experience

When arrived took off shoes to find the floor not clean enough to go barefoot, we had to wear our shoes the whole time. Found Blood on the Comforter and mattress pad. The mattress pad looked like they tried to wash but was still there. Unacceptable especially during Covid-19. We asked them to remove the comforter that day and it took 2 days to remove. Measuring cups were dirty the BBQ was dirty had to clean before we could use. There was a dirty sheet under the table near the sleeper couch from previous renter that housekeeping missed. The table was so wobbly one move and we spilt our drinks. We tried to play games and no one could touch the table else the dice kept rolling. So uncomfortable situation repeating to the kids over and over do not touch the table. The spa smelt so strong of chlorine we did not even use it. We ran out of paper towels and there was no back up. We ran out of TP we started with 1/2 roll and only had 1 back up. checkout is 11:00 and we got a call at 10:15 are you out so we can send in housekeeping. It could have been said nicer like "Thank for staying with us, just a friendly reminder checkout is 11 please text when you are out so housekeeping can get started. Thank you, come again". We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. We replied we will be out by checkout time at 11:00. We left and texted owner at 10:59 proof that we were out of the rental. They charged us a late fee saying that we were not out on time. We were outside loading our luggage. Are we being punished for being in the parking lot. Both my niece and I have contacted the owner several times with no response. Its been 11 days and I still do not have any of my deposit money. They don't seem eager to make this situation better. There was a note on the fridge mentioning that they are 5 star and please keep clean. I feel they are unprofessional and certainly not a 5 star experience. I 'm from Las Vegas I work in a 5 star Casino and know what is to be expected to be called 5 star. It is adorable and a good location. I wish it could have been different. At least make a professional effort to your renters even when stay is over. If they would address our concerns and issues and rectify our deposit this could be a whole new story. Like they were so nice and took care of all our concerns, but nothing! It's not enough to just have a cute place and good location especially when you want to be called a 5-star rental.

Great location

Great location! 15 mins from bass lake recreation area. There’s a grocery store, Big 5 and places to eat nearby. Very clean house with basic necessities to cook a meal.
