Are you ready to feel right at home at the beach? Warm and cozy clean and inviting beach cottage with charming decor and outdoor spaces.

This cottage has recently been updated!
New washer/dryer, HVAC, hot water heater, new LVP flooring throughout, new furniture in living room, new bedding, new 1/2 bath, newly updated full bath.

Its a 3 minute walk to the beach for great swimming and fishing. Walk or bike ride to great restaurants and shopping or drive to nearby charming Southport. 7 minute ride to fishing pier.

The space
Peek a boo view of the ocean from this very laid back beach cottage. Master bedroom has a king size bed and a just added half bath. Second bedroom has twin bunk beds and a full. Third bedroom has a queen size bed. We just added a brand new and very roomy outdoor shower and also a half bath in the master bedroom.

Kids toys, DVDs, puzzles and books available for your leisure.

The covered outdoor patio/seating area with bar top is the perfect place to relax and unwind after a day at the beach. Edison lights to enhance the atmosphere. Cornhole boards available to pass the time.


Charcoal grilling area in backyard.

Middleton park, just 5 houses from the cottage, has a ball field, tennis courts a skate park and on Monday mornings during the summer months a farmers market is set up with local fruits and vegetables, bakery goods and crafts. Many people are out running, walking and bike riding but there are other activities on Oak Island like golfing, putt putt, kayaking, paddle boarding, surfing, swimming and boating.

Another 2 blocks from the house there is the end of the Davis canal where people love to go fishing or crabbing.

Drive to Southport, 12 minutes away for great restaurants and shopping or take the ferry to Carolina Beach or Bald Head Island. Wilmington is also a great trip, 45 minutes away, with more shopping and restaurants.

Enjoy viewing the deer and all the other wildlife from our deck. We have a little canal across the street and you may see our resident Egret.

When you're ready to hit the beach, just go left out of the driveway to 43rd St (4 lots) and turn left and the public beach access is straight ahead. 3 houses.

This is NOT Myrtle Beach. This is a quiet, relaxing and stress free beach. Enjoy.

**Other things to note**
Linens are NOT provided. If you do not want the hassle of bringing your own, they can be provided by a local linen service (Sharon's Linens) for an additional $100 and will include,
Bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, kitchen linens, bath mats, and a complete set of sheets per bed.

Location was amazing ! 3 bed rooms was perfect for our family of 5. Nice front porch for coffee/ hanging out. Short walk to the beach! Communication with host was so prompt and check in/out was a breeze! We hope to be back !

Great little getaway

My friends and I enjoyed a relaxing weekend at this home. Great beach access, located on a quiet street, and a quick walk to the local pizza place (which was delicious). Owners responded quickly to minor issues that were resolved.

Barefoot bungalow

The location is great, we had 2 toddlers that were with us and they loved the proximity to the park. The short distance to the beach made it easier to take the toddlers and our infant to and from the beach each night of our stay. The property hosts were great with getting back to me with any issues or questions I had. Really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Barefoot Bungalow . The house was clean, nicely decorated and had everything we needed. The proximity to the beach was perfect! We could walk to the beach in under 5 minutes. The outdoor shower is a very nice touch. We highly recommend it.

Great location & cute little bungalow as advertised

There were 4 of us. It was the perfect size and a great location for us. Short walk to the beach and easy drive to a few fun places to visit, such as the light house and fishing pier. Salt 64 was the best nice restaurant nearby. And we loved the local donut shop too! Our first visit to Oak Island and we appreciated the mellow vibe, great for relaxing.

Sunrise dream

My husband and I got married on Caswell beach the morning of May 4th 2024. Some of my family and I stayed here the weekend of. This house is beautiful and had the space we needed. Doug was amazing at communicating through out the entire process. Laundry service is fantastic and well worth requesting. This home will forever be a part of an amazing day and we hope to revisit each year.

Perfect!

We had a wonderful one week stay at the Warm and Cozy Beach Cottage! It was a 4 minute walk from the front door to the water’s edge. The home is very well equipped for everything you could possibly need, especially in the kitchen. Very clean. Plenty of seating in the living area and 8 stools around the island if you have a large group. The beds ranged from firm (queen) to soft (full) with the others somewhere in between. The 1/2 bath addition, plus the outdoor shower are very convenient to have. Nice yard space and outdoor seating areas. Owners were very responsive when we had questions. We’d absolutely stay here again.
