Summary:

"Lake Tuscaloosa Retreat" is a large, spacious, luxurious lake front home with big water views and a world class sunset! Featuring 5 bedrooms & 4 full bathrooms, this home can sleep up to 15 people. Whether you are coming for a University of Alabama football game or to spend some time on the lake, there is no better place to stay! Spend the evenings swimming in the pool, challenging your buddies in putt putt, or playing pool in the game room! There is a great grill out by the pool and also plenty of games to entertain everyone in the family.



The Space:

This is a very well-thought-out home with 5 bedrooms (including the bunk room) and 4 full bathrooms. This home was designed with families in mind. Every decision was made to help ensure our guests make lifelong memories! Don't want to leave, cook at the house! The luxurious kitchen features high-end appliances and custom cabinetry.



POOL: Open from May 17 2025 - October 31, 2025 (*Subject to change based on the weather so please message us before booking if you have questions about it.)



*Please note that the extra person fee from the 10th person will cost $25 each.

For nature enthusiasts, Lake Lurleen State Park is an absolute must-see containing over 1,600 acres of lush forest and riverbanks, as well as tons of recreational space for hiking, mountain biking, fishing, paddle boating, kayaking, and much more! Other notable outdoor attractions include Hurricane Creek Park and Tuscaloosa River Walk for serene landscapes and natural beauty.

If you have extra time, get a first-hand look at the impressive collection of plant life at the University of Alabama Arboretum, an ideal setting to take a leisurely walk. Our family did an early Thanksgiving at the Lake T Retreat. There were 17 of us, but the house and outdoor areas gave us plenty of room. Check-in was easy, and our early request was accommodated. We enjoyed sitting in the gazebo and watching beautiful sunsets! Our host responded quickly to every question along the way. This place is perfect for a large group. Because it was November, we did not use the pool, but it was lovely. We so appreciated that it is fenced since we have a puppy that loves to swim! The game room was perfect for our grandchildren, and the adults enjoyed the pool table. I would love a summer retreat at this property in the future! Thank you, Tanner, for helping to create a great holiday memory!

This was a perfect spot for our annual family gathering. It provides great space for our 5 families - we especially appreciated the large dinner table which allowed wonderful meal times and a perfect environment for our special family update evening and prayer time. The pool was our daily center of activity. It’s a great size for our crew and the gazebo was used all day! We also took advantage of the lake, but the house was the star! We’re talking about a return trip next year already!!

Return to Lake T

This was our third time staying at the Lake T Retreat, and it doesn’t disappoint for our large group. From age 6 to 81, everyone enjoyed the property. Lots of great memories made around the pool and down at the lake. We cooked multiple meals each day and had everything we needed in the well-equipped kitchen. The sleeping arrangements are comfortable, and the three bathrooms are able to accommodate us well. The communication with Tanner was timely and helpful before, during, and after our stay. We're already looking forward to another trip next summer. I highly recommend this house!

Great Family Trip

We had a great 4 night trip at Tanner’s lake house. The house had plenty of space for 3 families to spread out and tons of fun things to do for kids of all ages. Our crew loved playing the games provided, roasting s’more’s in the fire pit, swimming, and jumping in the lake. Tanner was also quick to respond to and fix the things our wild crew messed up.I would suggest bringing your own pool/lake towels bc we were given just enough towels for everyone to use after a shower. We also found ourselves wanting more blankets, pillows, and kitchen towels. We did not ask for these things, but I’m sure if we did, Tanner would have been on top of it. With all that said, we loved our stay and would do it again if in town!

Great house!

Everything about this house was wonderful. The location on the lake is breathtaking. We spent our mornings on the dock, drinking tea and watching the ducks and loons. There were plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone to have their own space. The house is huge! Two different family room areas to watch tv/the games. We look forward to coming back!

Completely as promised!

We were using this house as an overflow over Christmas so didn’t spend much time ‘hanging out’, though the pool table was really fun when we did. For guests who might be considering this place: it is really large with multiple separate spots that people can gather in, and the outside space looks like it would be really fun in the warmer months. The kitchen is very well stocked and has some basics (salt, pepper, oil, etc. The beds are comfortable with great sheets - that was unanimous. It may be odd to say, but the number one compliment about this place was the management company were incredibly responsive to any issue - minor as they were (tv controller confusion and kitchen towels). I think it has changed hands recently so a few quirks that needed to be worked out (two doors, but only one entry code!) but I am certain this will be addressed. Really super to work with. Would stay again if we needed the space!

Perfect Family Time

We came to Tuscaloosa for a wedding and wanted a space large enough to accommodate our family, which includes a 3 year old and a 3 month old. This place fit the bill! There was plenty of room to spread out so that we all had personal space, and also large rooms for us to gather and spend time together. The game room and putting green were very popular. Overall we had a wonderful time - the house was clean, the host very easy to communicate with, and the lake views were spectacular. Thank you Tanner! We enjoyed your home very much.

Great relaxing week

We spent a week with friends and kids of all ages, this property was amazing and spacious. We have no complaints. The pool was big enough for a larger crew and the lake was absolutely beautiful. The property was close to grocery stores and restaurants! Will be back!

July 4th Getaway

We had a great stay at this house. We had a large group(15) with lots of different ages and the house had something for everyone. The pool was great for the little ones and the dock provided more adventure for our teenagers. Also, very spacious which is typically hard to find for our size group. Will definitely book again! P.S. Communication with Tanner was great and he was very quick to respond throughout the entire process.

Family getaway

The property was perfect for our group of 15. With the pool, lake, and indoor fun it had everything we could want. The communication was outstanding and all our needs were met before and during the stay. There is plenty of space to accommodate multiple families. Kudos to the relator company

We showed up at the first place and the former guests left it lets say in not the best shape. We called and the relator found us another place so we were still able to have our mini vacation after graduation.
