The village of Trunch, just a mile away has a fine medieval church, a corner store with post office and village pub serving food. The seaside village of Mundesley is 2 miles for a sandy beach, and considered one of the best beaches in Norfolk, with a thriving village centre with shops, crazy golf, children’s playground, cafés, pubs and restaurants.

A visit to the quintessential seaside town of Cromer is a must do, with a sandy beach and pier, RNLI working lifeboat station, museum, zoo park, golf course and shops, cafés and restaurants. Dog walkers will welcome the proximity of the Paston Way, 5 minutes on foot, Pigneys Woods, 5 minutes by car and Bacton Woods, 15 minutes by car. The town of North Walsham is 4 miles and offers shops, a monthly farmers market, pubs, cafés, supermarkets and a train station with a service to Norwich city. The cathedral city of Norwich offers two indoor shopping malls, theatre, castle museum, cathedral, market square, cafés and fine restaurants.
