Outside, the property shines with a private waterfront setting, complete with a fire pit for evening gatherings, a barbecue grill for outdoor dining, and a hammock positioned to offer stunning views of the beach and lake. Guests have direct access to the water for kayaking and fishing, making this the ultimate retreat for nature lovers.



Guest Access:

As a guest at South Cabins, you will have exclusive access to the entire private island cabin and its surrounding grounds. Inside, you are free to use both bedrooms and the half bathroom as well as a main outdoor shower located on the property. The outdoor area is entirely yours to enjoy, featuring a private waterfront perfect for swimming and sunbathing. You have direct access to the lake for kayaking and fishing, with all necessary equipment provided on site. You are also welcome to use the outdoor fire pit, barbecue grill, and hammock area. Free parking is available on the premises for your convenience.

Getting Around:

Getting to South Cabins is most convenient by personal vehicle to the lake property. Upon arrival you will use the self serve boats to go back and forth to the island. Paddle boats, kayaks, and a small fishing boat are available for a 5 minute boat ride to the island. We provide free parking directly on the premises for your ease of access nearby the main boat dock. In your spare time you can explore the local museums, quaint shops, and beautiful cycling routes in Perth East, which are all within a short fifteen to twenty minute drive from your private island sanctuary.



Other Things to Note:

Welcome to South Cabins where your peaceful island getaway awaits. Please plan your arrival for 15:00 or later and ensure departure by 10:00. Access to the cabin requires a short five minute boat ride using the self serve boats provided at our mainland parking area. The cabin is equipped with a half bathroom and an outdoor shower for your use. Please note that this is a non smoking property and excessive alcohol consumption and drinking parties are prohibited. We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our island peaceful and respecting the horses cows and local wildlife surrounding the lake.
