Family Getaway

The overall experience was good. The house was beautiful, the views were amazing. The location in reference to the beach was absolutely wonderful. The biggest drawback was that the house was extremely dirty. The bathrooms had leftover toothpaste and buildup around the faucet and handles. The kitchen was dirty, there was food around the edge of the floor, the sink was gross, the light fixture had grease build up and there were gnats stuck to them. The fridge handle was full of food and grime. I swept up a half dustpan full of sand when we arrived and vacuumed another half-full canister off of the main area rug. I know that we are at the beach and there is sand, but there shouldn't have been that much at the beginning of our stay. When we arrived the cleaners were there. they did bring out a linen bag from the previous stay but they did not bring in or out any clean blankets/bedspreads, only sheets. I can assume that blankets on the beds were used during the last stay. I did contact the office and they wanted a list of things that needed to be cleaned and they would send someone out. I already had my entire family in the house, 16 people. That I now had to have someone come clean around. It was uncomfortable and we decided to clean up ourselves.

Casablanca Stay

The location of the property to the beach was great! Easy access straight to the beach, which was clean and relaxing. The interior of the house however was not the cleanest. Very dusty, including counter and table tops, fans, behind doors, and in front of refrigerator and stove. A few mattress pads were covered with some sad and crumbs. The two top balcony sliding doors, as well as left side master sliding door did not open well, very rusted track. Upper middle sliding door had a broken handle which therefore could not be used. As guests we did work hard to clean the home and maintain its cleanliness while there. Another concern was the electrical box outside smelled of burning wire and was smoking, we did let the office know, they did send someone to look, he pulled it apart and said he would be back but never returned. The pool was a great size for us and the maintenance of cleaning was routine during our stay, which was great, however, if we turned on the hot tub heat or blower it did let off a very strong smell of gas. As mentioned, the location was to the beach was terrific and easy to access, and there ample space inside the home for what we needed. We wouldn’t be opposed of renting again, however, we would come better prepared with cleaning supplies and possibly our own sheets and towels for our stay. This is truly a nice beach home, but would be even better with a good cleaning!

Hot tub?

We had a great stay at Casablanca. The house is in a great location and beautifully decorated with plenty of room for the entire family. Our only complaint is in regards to the hot tub. Listing advertised hot tub which leads one to believe it is in working condition. Beach front access and hot tub were what we wanted out of our stay and the hot tub was not working upon arrival. Elliot sent someone to get it going our first day and by the next morning it was no longer warm. Called again the 3rd day and hot tub was working for all of 3 hours. Returned from dinner that evening to a cold tub. If you are looking for a house with a working hot tub be prepared to call for service daily.

Sanctuary

We needed a place to rest and relax. As a family we were in North Myrtle Beach to celebrate the life of my Mother-in-Love. We traveled from all over the US to be together during a challenging time. The Casablanca Home was just what we needed, cozy, comfortable and full of character! Would definitely stay here again.

wonderful home and layout..... Had anything and everything we needed there on site!!!! no complaints on the home and location :-) (did have a hot tub / hot pool issue early week, that wasn't resolved during our stay.)

Super house and location

Our group of 20 (10 adults and 10 children) thoroughly enjoyed our week. There were beds for everyone and we found the kitchen and living areas to be amazingly well stocked for our cooking, sleeping, and enjoying the outdoors. The few issues that we had were dealt with quickly and graciously. My only disappointment was in having to make our beds with the linens provided. Also there were no dish rags or towels in the kitchen or hand towels for the bathrooms. We could have brought our own if I had known. The house is nicely decorated and we would highly recommend it!

Overall good

We had a great time and the house was wonderful. The oven unfortunately did not work for the full length of our stay. We called the property manager and after a technician came to look at it we heard nothing further. I called the property manager again to inquire
 they advised they would call me back and never did. Despite the lack of response and communication we still had a great time
 perfect for kids and large families and great location.
