The property had 4 bedrooms and 1.5 baths, which easily accommodated the 5 adults. The living spaces were clean. The beams were a little dusty. We did not realize that the stove/oven was so small and we cooked a big Christmas Eve dinner. We made it work. It snowed so we had a beautiful white Christmas. It felt festive. Skiing was very convenient at Attitash and Wildcat. Good times.
Fantastic access to hiking trails. This place would be perfect if bedding and towels were included as well as all cleaning, particularly without the tip request to pay cleaners.
The neighborhood canât be beat for its proximity to hiking trails and Attitash for skiing! The house was spacious and comfortable to hang out in. The beds are not very comfortable and the house has a lot of noises clanking and banging throughout the night which made for difficult night sleep. The âblanketsâ for the bunk beds were all dated sleeping bags which werenât very comfortable for teenagers sleeping. The shower water pressure was incredible, but the paper thin walls lent itself to hearing everything every time someone went the bathroom at night. The half bathroom has a strong smell of damp mold that was bad enough to avoid using that bathroom. Overall the house was surface clean and appealing, but the dust collecting on the walls/beams was extensive and could use some attention. This place worked for us given the convenience of location but I wouldnât choose to rent again due to the lack of sleep.
Check out the bunk beds they are sick! The couch upstairs extends so cool! The neighborhood was cool, look for the bear statue. The arcade game was good! (Reviewed by my 8 year old)
We loved the property. It provided us with many amenities, the video arcade was a huge hit! The one downfall was there wss no outdoor table/seating to eat outdoors.
The property was great! Everything was exactly as it was expected to be! The humidity was out of control, which made all our clothes and sheets feel constantly wet. But thereâs nothing you can really do about that! đ
Letâs start with checkin-after booking we were told that we had to check in at a real estate office 15 minutes out of the way. Check in no earlier than 4 and no later then 5âŠ.seriously? We got there at 4 and there was no one there so we took the instructions. Come to find out that thereâs no trash bins at the rental but for âour convenienceâ they provided a dumpster at the rental office!!! So we had to bring our trash all the way back across town, good thing we had a pickup truck.
The instructions also said that we would probably need to bring paper towels and toilet paperâŠ.yep the rental provided just 1 single ply roll of toilet paper per bathroom! Oh cheap can you get!
We arrived at the rental and having would have loved to shovel a little path in front of the door but thereâs no shovel, who doesnât provide a shovel in the winter in the White Mountains!!
My wife packed light because we the listing said there was a washer and dryerâŠ.there wasnât!
The beds were all extremely uncomfortable, and oh yeah, we had to bring our own sheets and towelâŠthatâs a first.
We paid a cleaning feeâŠ..for what? We had to bring all our own linens and towels, shlepp our trash across town, all dishes put away and broom sweep the place before checking out-what a ridiculous rip off. Oh and for that wonderful check-in process there was another fee.
We have been renting in the North Conway area for 20 years and this was without a doubt the worst rental we have ever had.
The Cathedral Ledge area is a wonderful area! This chalet was plenty for my family of 6 and two dogs. Kitchen stocked with plenty of cookware and supplies. Washer/dryer great to have!. There is no ac but plenty of fans as it was very hot! Floors are creaky and a bit loud and a bit distracting for light sleepers. There was a leaking toilet which property management addressed right away. I still would stay here again!
