What’s unique about this spot is I’ve never slept in an old mill before. It’s was private, clean and quiet. Good jumping off point Adams and Greylock. Eric (owner) was very helpful and easily reachable.
Very unique botique inn inside a referbished area of the Beaver Mill. Eric the owner was super welcoming, showed is in, and gave great local recommendations. You also get free admission to his art gallery in town! The room is quite modern and has all the basic amenities, and they are working on putting together a large shared space with a full kitchen.
There is ongoing construction nearby but Eric took the step of putting us in the quietest room which was much appreciated. We had a great time and we would definitely stay here again!
What we thought would be a basic one night stay turned into an unforgettable experience. The rooms were clean and comfortable, but the memorable part was realizing the old mill, converted mainly into artist studios, is owned by the incredible artist Eric Rudd (look him up!). We got a tour of his vast studio space which houses oversized sculptures and paintings and then shared a glass of wine -- amazing and prolific. The next day we toured the two churches in downtown North Adams that he and his wife purchased to display more of his art. Our time was far more personal and cultural than a simple one night hotel stay.
