Swansea Cove Waterfront Escape with Private Jetty
Be captured by the gentle magic of the tides at this cottage on Black Neds Bay. More than just a water view, it offers an ever-changing canvas shaped by the rhythms of the sea and a soft hint of salt-laden air. The day may begin with a high tide, perfect for swimming or fishing from the jetty, and end with quiet moments as the tide recedes and water birds visit. At low tide, listen for the soft âpoppingâ of crabs defending their territory and enjoy the whisper of the tides.
Positioned along Black Neds Bay, this beachside haven brings together a light-filled main home and additional self-contained guest cottage, complemented by a private jetty with direct access to the bay.
Inside, the main living area feels calm and open, with generous seating, a TV, and a decorative fireplace creating an inviting place to settle in. Bay views stretch across the room, shaping everyday moments of relaxation and connection. From here, the space flows naturally into the sunroom, where comfortable lounge seating offers an ideal spot for lingering over morning coffee, reading, or taking in the water scenery. The kitchen features a long island bench, modern appliances, and everything needed for relaxed home cooking. Meals can be shared indoors at the dining table or taken outside to the garden, where an outdoor dining table is ready for easy alfresco dining.
Within the main cottage, four bedrooms are tucked quietly along one side, arranged with three queen beds and one double bed. They are serviced by a bathroom with a walk-in shower and complimentary toiletries.
At the front of the property, the self-contained guest cottage offers added privacy and flexibility, featuring its own living area with comfortable seating and a small kitchenette, a queen-sized bedroom, and a private ensuite complete with a glass-enclosed shower, vanity, and toilet.
Youâll be just minutes away from fresh food retailers, local boat ramps and fishing spots, a gentle swim at Salts Bay, or catch a wave at Caves Beach. Explore the sea caves and tidal pools, a range of beloved local cafes, and the dining atmosphere of Caves Coastal Bar.
Parking is easy, with space for two vehicles in the driveway and additional free street parking available nearby. Split-system heating and cooling in the primary bedroom, along with ceiling fans, provide year-round comfort. Please note that there is no cooling in the main living area.
During your stay, you and your group will have the entire house to yourselves. Please make yourselves at home!

Within a 15-minute walk, youâll find popular spots including Boffee CafĂ©, Mawson Restaurant, Deluca, and Caves Beach Takeaway, making mornings and casual meals easy without the need to drive. Swansea township is just minutes away from your stay, where you can find additional cafĂ©s, fresh seafood, and dining at Swansea RSL. A short walk also leads to the golden sands of Caves Beach, known for its surf breaks, rock pools, and sunset drinks at Caves Coastal Bar. Channel-side strolls, fishing spots, and Lake Macquarie foreshore trails round out the areaâs relaxed coastal lifestyle.
