The Space:

Welcome to our stylish and spacious 3-bedroom home in Newbiggin-by-the-Sea, perfect for families, friends, or business travelers. With three comfortable double beds, a fully equipped kitchen, and a dining area for six, this home offers everything you need for a relaxing stay. The cozy living space is ideal for unwinding, and free parking is available nearby. Just a short walk to the beach, it’s the perfect spot to enjoy coastal walks, local attractions, and a comfortable retreat by the sea.

Standard check-in time is 3:00 PM and check-out is no later than 10:00 AM. £15 per hour for late check-out or early check in options, subject to availability. Maximum 12pm.

21 Melrose Terrace is situated in the charming coastal town of Newbiggin by the Sea, Northumberland. This quiet and friendly neighborhood offers a peaceful seaside atmosphere, perfect for those looking to enjoy scenic coastal views and a relaxed environment.



The property is close to Newbiggin Bay, where visitors can take in the fresh sea air along the promenade, admire the famous “Couple” sculpture in the bay, or explore the town’s rich maritime history at the Newbiggin Maritime Centre. The area has a welcoming community with local shops, cafés, pubs, and essential amenities within walking distance.



The town is well-connected by bus routes to Ashington, Morpeth, and Newcastle, making it easy to explore the surrounding areas. With its combination of coastal beauty, local charm, and convenient transport links, Newbiggin by the Sea offers an inviting and picturesque setting.



Getting Around:

By Car:



From Newcastle upon Tyne (approx. 30 min drive): Take the A189 north towards Ashington. Exit onto A197 towards Newbiggin by the Sea. Follow signs for Newbiggin and continue to Melrose Terrace.

From Edinburgh (approx. 2.5 hours): Take the A1 south towards Newcastle, then merge onto the A189 towards Ashington. Follow the A197 into Newbiggin by the Sea and reach Melrose Terrace.



By Public Transportation



The nearest train station is Morpeth Station (about 15-20 minutes away by car or taxi).

From Morpeth, take a taxi or bus to Newbiggin by the Sea.



By Bus:



From Morpeth Train Station, take the X21 Arriva bus towards Ashington/Newbiggin. The journey takes around 30-40 minutes.

From Newcastle, take the X21/X22 bus towards Ashington and transfer to a local Newbiggin bus.

The bus stop nearest to Melrose Terrace is within walking distance.



Other Things to Note:

- NO SMOKING INSIDE: We kindly request that smoking be avoided inside the premises. Any indication of smoking will incur a fee of £300 for odor removal, duct cleaning, and furniture cleaning. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.



- We do require a separate short term rental agreement to be signed directly with us and a pre-arrival form filled prior to your stay.



- LOST KEYS: If keys are lost, a £100 replacement fee is required.



At Vacant Nests, we’re dedicated to ensuring our property is protected throughout every guest stay. To provide peace of mind for both owners and guests, we require all guests to either have a £400 fully refundable security deposit hold placed on their account or purchase a £40 one-time Accidental Damage Waiver, which covers up to £500 of accidental damage during the stay.



Interaction with Guests:

Interaction with guests will be via booking platform messaging app unless there is an emergency where the host will respond to you via call. Please make first contact via app otherwise we may not pick up your enquiry.
