Welcome to this 3,000 sf (280 m2) loft-style apartment in the heart of downtown Elizabeth, New Jersey, USA. It is the entire 2nd floor of a historic building. Sleeps up to 8 people comfortably with four large and private bedrooms. Open kitchen/living/dining room to gather together with your family and friends. Dining table seats 8 people. There are 2 spacious full bathrooms as well.
No parties, events, or smoking of any kind -- this is strictly enforced.
The apartment is very spacious with ample room for up to 8 people to stay. Each bedroom has its own desk and office chair â perfect for working from home.
The direct train to New York is less than a 5 minute walk from this apartment. The journey takes about 30 minutes to reach Manhattan New York City. Newark Airport (EWR) can be reached with this same train and the journey takes about 15 minutes.
This building is in the middle of a city and has no parking. There is a public parking garage around the corner where you can conveniently park during your stay. You would need to pay the parking fees directly to the garage. We do not include any parking with this listing and parking is entirely a guest`s responsibility.
Self check-in and check-out are available. There is a lockbox with keys at the entry door to the building. We will send you the code to the lock box on the day of your arrival. The code will not be sent in advance.
The check-in window is 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. If you are planning to arrive after 11:00 pm, you must clear this with us. No one will be available to support you during check-in if you arrive very late at night (after 11:00 pm), so it will be completely self-service and you will not receive any refund or concession if you cannot check-in after 11:00 pm for any reason. Early check-in and late check-out are not available. There is no luggage storage available at the property.

Please note that this apartment is located in an older building. Some recent guests have arrived with higher expectations than what we can provide given the age of the building. The apartment looks like the photos in the listing and we keep it clean. It is a basic space with basic amenities. If you are looking for a functional and competitively priced (and VERY LARGE) place close to New York City and Newark Airport EWR, this would be a good space for you. If you are looking for a modern and luxury stay, this is probably not the place for you.
We also just want to make clear that you are renting an apartment and not a hotel room. There are many differences between apartment rentals and hotels, and some newer guests on this platform may not realize it. Hotels are large and often have many rooms, and the ability to change your room should issues arise. Hotels also have staff 24/7 that can help you with every issue or questions that you may have. On the other hand, we are a small operation and manage our listings to the best of our ability. We try hard to create a good experience for guests. We are including this disclaimer here because we have recently seen a rise in guests that seem to view these listings as very similar to a hotel, but in reality it is quite different. Guests are responsible for bagging all garbage and placing the bags in the bins outside the building, or at the curb, as instructed by the host (host will communicate with guest regarding this).
If your unit has a thermostat and the thermostat is locked, do not tamper with it or try to break open the lock. Doing so is called vandalism and is highly inappropriate. We will withhold your security deposit if you do this and possible submit for more damages depending on the situation.
Also, guests must leave the apartment in the condition they found it (e.g. no leftover food, nothing that creates a need for excessive or deep cleaning). Please wash all dishes that you use, remove food that you`ve brought in, and discard all trash. Our cleaning fee is lower than most and it covers basic cleaning tasks like washing of linens and towels, vacuuming, etc. The cleaning fee does not cover deep cleaning, excessive kitchen and bathroom cleaning, etc. Thanks for your cooperation!
If you check out late, there will be a $100 per hour fee for each hour or fraction of an hour that you stay beyond the check out time.
If you smoke, use incense, use drugs of any kind (including marijuana and cannabis) anywhere on the property including outside areas and common areas, we will charge a $300 fee. If there are damages related to smoking or drug use, we will charge fees in addition to this $300.
