Shurtz Overlook is part of the BeHome family of properties (@behome_cle) and provides panoramic views of the Hocking Hills region like few other properties can! Sitting atop Shurtz Hill, guests can enjoy the comforts of home while taking in the gorgeous views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The cabin is one of the best seats for stepping back and truly taking in the beauty of Hocking Hills from up high.

The cabin is equipped with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay and affords both private and communal spaces for your friends/family to recharge, rekindle, and reinvigorate. Shurtz Overlook is the perfect setting for connecting where it counts and disconnecting from what doesn't.

COMFORT: Shurtz Overlook offers three queen size bedrooms, a bunk room, and a futon to comfortably sleep 10 guests. The cabin also has a hot tub, fast/reliable WiFi, wraparound porch, outdoor fire pit, and other comforts.

CONVENIENCE: Located in the heart of the Hocking Hills region. Easy, quick access to Hocking Hills favorites, including Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave, Conkle's Hollow, Cedar Falls, and more! Abundant beauty and hiking to enjoy year round. Also convenient for Hocking Hills activities, such as zip lining, trail riding, rock climbing, and many others!

CLEANLINESS: We employ local professional cleaners who understand that our guests want to immediately settle in and feel confident that the cabin is up to their standards.

We are animal lovers and allow up to 2 dogs at the cabin. Dog(s) need to be over 1 year old, less than 60 lbs, fully house trained, and guests must be willing to adhere to rules around having dogs at the cabin. Dogs are $30/day each plus a refundable damage deposit.

Shurtz Overlook balances the desired seclusion and proximity to the trails, caves, and waterfalls that many guests seek. Guests won't have to see another person during their stay if that's your preference, but can also quickly access the best hikes that Hocking Hills State Park offers:

9.8 miles or 15 minute drive to Cedar Falls
11.8 miles or 19 minute drive to Old Man's Cave

**Guest making reservation must be 25 years or older to rent the cabin and present during the stay.**

**Smoking of any kind (including vaping) is not allowed inside the cabin.**

**Parties/large events are not allowed at the cabin.**

Guest access: Guests will have access to the full cabin, all building amenities, and 13 acres of secluded land. There is a large gravel parking area outside of the cabin that can accommodate several vehicles.

Cabin Quirks: We love coming down to our cabin for its cozy charm and the way Hocking Hills allows us to unplug from our hectic day to day routines. It gives us the gift of quality time together and the chance to focus on the moments that count. Hocking Hills cabins often have quirks, including well water (some guests prefer to bring bottled water) and WiFi/cell service that's spotty at times.

Guests are encouraged to review the cancellation policy and consider purchasing travel insurance to accompany their reservation.
