Experience the energy of New Orleans at The Eleanor, a vacation rental in the heart of downtown — just minutes from Bourbon Street, the French Quarter, Caesars Superdome, and Smoothie King Center. Whether you’re visiting for Mardi Gras, Jazz Fest, a concert, or just to enjoy the city's legendary nightlife, dining, and shopping - our location puts you steps from it all.

The space is great if traveling with family, friends, or any type of group. The space offers 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a full kitchen, dining table and living room with a queen size sleeper sofa. Three bedrooms offer a king bed and the fourth bedroom offers two queen size beds. Each bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. One of the ensuites has a shower only and the other ensuites offer a tub/shower combo. The living room offers a 65” TV and the bedrooms have a 55" TV, all with streaming abilities. Each unit has a stacked washer and dryer and clothing steamer for use during your stay as well.

The rooftop pool and hot tub are shared by all units in the property. The rooftop pool and hot tub are open daily from 8:00 am – 10:00pm, weather permitting. Our pool is not heated, and swimming is at your own risk. This area is designated as non-smoking.

We have a designated vaping area located on the 9th floor of the building. Smoking/vaping is strictly prohibited in our units and will set off our state of the art smoke alarm system.

The Eleanor New Orleans is located in Downtown New Orleans on Loyola Ave featuring 31 units that are 3-6 bedrooms and range from 1,178-1,959 sq ft. We are a locally owned and operated vacation rental in Downtown New Orleans on Loyola Avenue. Our arrival process is contactless, but our property manager and/or front desk staff are available 24/7 during your stay.

While our hotel does not offer parking, there are two public parking facilities conveniently located directly below the property. Rates are generally $20-30/24 hours (but will increase during special events and festivals). The two parking options are located just below our property. Park First Saratoga Garage #1025 and has a height clearance of 6’4”. The other option, ParkMobile Zone 50408 (surface lot), is also directly behind our building for overflow or oversized vehicles.

We are conveniently located near many popular attractions:

French Quarter – 3 blocks to the beginning and 5 blocks (10 minute walk) to Bourbon Street
Superdome – 10 minute walk
Smoothie King Center – 10 minute walk
Saenger Theatre- 1 block (4 minute walk)

Transportation:
Amtrak (train) and Greyhound (bus) Stations – 0.7 miles, easily accessible via the Union Passenger Terminal via Canal St Streetcar (only $3/day on the Le Pass RTA app).

Louis Armstrong International Airport (MSY) – 14.4 miles (approx. 20 minutes without traffic) – There are many Uber/Lyft/Taxi cabs at the airport that are readily available to bring you downtown.

The Eleanor is located on a streetcar line. Use the streetcar to get to the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, City Park, Cemeteries and plenty of other areas along the way. We recommend downloading the Le Pass RTA app and getting a Jazzy Pass for getting around the city.

Pets are allowed for an additional fee of $135/stay (max 2 included). We have a designated pet relief area on the 9th floor, and there is also a grassy park located across the street from our units. Please let us know ahead of time if you are planning to bring a pet.

Early check-in or late check-out may be available for your stay for an additional fee of $300 for a 12pm arrival or $200 for a 2pm arrival. A late departure of 12pm would be an additional fee of $200 (an extra 2 hours). Unfortunately, we are unable to store luggage pre- or post-stay, so if you need to guarantee an earlier arrival or departure, we recommend booking the night before or after in order to guarantee anything earlier than the 2pm arrival or later than a 12pm departure.

We only require light cleaning prior to departure – taking out garbage and washing any dirty dishes. All linen is professionally laundered between guests.

The condo itself was lovely, except for the faulty fire alarms that blared our last night there (triggered by a shower). Management acknowledged the sensitivity of the alarms and advised they have been "working on" finding more effective alternatives. Meanwhile, having no one to contact, we had no choice but to disarm the alarms at 12:30 AM.Communication with the host was tedious. Requests from the management company came multiple times or not at all. Check in was a nightmare. There was significant confusion between The Eleanor and VRBO. The host even mentioned that dealing with VRBO is difficult for them, because "they want all the money." It seemed apparent that the host may not deal with VRBO often. Prior to arrival, the host made a 1500 draft on my credit card. This payment was not authorized and not outlined in the rental agreement in any way. Despite hours of my time spent with VBRO support and the host, the mistake was never fully corrected. We were offered early check-in, only to walk in on the cleaning crew. Multiple requests for financial compensation have been refused. Again, the unit is lovely. However, do not expect ANYTHING extra (coffee, etc.), and do not expect any concessions for inconvenience or mistakes on the part of the host. In fact, do not even expect basic Southern Hospitality.

The place and facilities were very nice. The problem is the NOISE!!!! Dumpsters at 3 AM, constant ambulances since you are in very close proximity to two hospitals and the police station.

The rooms were clean. It’s incredibly convenient that each room had its own bathroom. The kids enjoyed watching their shows on the big tv in each rooms. Beds and pillows were comfortable. They also provided a beautiful and very delicious charcuterie board. Location is also very ideal, walkable to tons of places. Condo elevators were also fast compared to the other places we visited in town. Check out was also easy. Some negatives: the hot tub was so gross, obviously the owner has not control over that. We were also only allotted one roll of paper towel and 1 trash bag. They do tell you that but more should be provided for multiple nights of stay. Overall, I would come back and stay here with family or friends.

I am so glad we selected this property after considering many. The property was beautiful, clean, comfortable and well-appointed. Location was great: most every place we wanted to visit was walkable, and the streetcar was outside the building. Communication with the property manager, Shane, was great; he always quickly replied and was helpful. The rooftop pool and hot tub were just what we wanted after a fun day exploring. I will recommend this property to anyone I know visiting NOLA.

This property has a great location and had lots of great security features with the code to get in the door, code to the elevator and then the code to our condo. The beds were amazing and all the girls loved their rooms. Any concerns we had Lilly took care of them right away. When we come again we will stay here!

The facility was so nice it was like a dream come true. At first, i had difficulty with the combination access, but I finally got the hang of it. Perfect system, with the elevator and doors to the unit. Everything was perfect. The individual rooms were very clean and comfortable. The kitchen was very clean and provided us plenty of space to relax and talk. Each of us having our own bathrooms like suites was fantastic especially when getting ready to go out. The community in the building was so friendly and helpful. The owner, Shane and his staff maintained great communication throughout the whole process of booking and if we had any questions or concerns. They were AWESOME!

The perfect place!

We truly enjoyed our stay! We had 5 ladies and we all enjoyed individual rooms and bathrooms! Everything was exactly as expected and on par with the listing. Highly recommend for large groups/family! And our view was beautiful! Especially at sunset.
